As a Summer Intern on the Engineering Track, Structure, and Services Team, you'll collaborate with seasoned professionals on essential projects, enhancing our infrastructure's safety, efficiency, and reliability. This is a full-time (40hrs/wk) position in a 24x7 operations environment, subject to on-call, overtime, nights, alternating shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Travel and Relocation is required for the summer. Candidates must be flexible with their location (as they could be moved depending on business needs), must have reliable transportation to and from work, and travel up to 75% of the time.
Training will start with a two-day orientation in Fort Worth, Texas, offering a company overview and networking with leaders, followed by support on ongoing projects and practical field training at an assigned location.

Key Responsibilities:
This role offers a unique opportunity to join our team in either the Track or Structures Department, contributing to essential infrastructure that supports BNSF's operations.
In the Track Department, you will be able to:
* Inspect, maintain, repair, and construct our track infrastructure, which encompasses rails, ties, and ballast, to uphold BNSF's standards.
* Plan/Schedule required maintenance and repairs and verify the quality of work completed.
* Expand and update BNSF Track infrastructure and oversee projects that interact with BNSF property.
* Project types include the expansion of track infrastructure, maintenance, construction, and innovation.
* Responsible for the safety of their teams.
* Manage the finances & schedules of their project and communication with project stakeholders.
* Opportunity to shadow positions such as Supervisor Engineering Support, Assistant Roadmaster, Roadmaster, and Division Engineer to gain boots on the ground experience.
In the Structures Department, you will be able to:
* Administer, supervise, and coordinate all maintenance, construction, inspection and operation of bridges and structures, both operating and capital functions.
* Plan/Schedule required maintenance and repairs and verify the quality of work completed.
* Coordinate with other departments to ensure safe and efficient maintenance operations.
* Project types include the expansion of BNSF terminals & hubs, central lines, facilities, the repair & replacement of structures, & oversight of public projects and utility crossings.
* Responsible for the safety of their teams.
* Manage the finances & schedules of their project and communication with project stakeholders.
* Opportunity to shadow positions in our structure team and track such as Supervisor Structures and Manager of Structures to gain boots on the ground experience.
Daily work is conducted in an indoor/outdoor safety sensitive environment where the working conditions can include diverse and extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, rain, snow, and sleet), walking and performing work on uneven surfaces, working around loud noises, fumes, and heavy/moving machinery.

Basic Qualifications:
* Legally authorized to work in the United States and will be at least eighteen (18) years old upon hire.

* Pursuing a Bachelors or Graduate degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Structural, etc.), Construction Management, Business, OR a similar degree program from an accredited university.
* Have and will maintain at least a 2.75 cumulative GPA.
* Have LESS THAN three (3) years of professional work experience/military service, EXCLUDING internships, part-time jobs, or positions held while pursuing my undergraduate and/or graduate degree.
* Have access to reliable transportation for the duration of the internship to and from my assigned BNSF location.

* Prior internship experience or less than 3 years of work experience in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, Construction, Logistics, or a related field.

The Water Resources Engineering Intern is responsible for performing a variety of semi-skilled to skilled tasks in construction observation, report writing, watershed modeling, CAD work, environmental assessments, and other areas for Water Resources related projects. This position is within the Water Resources unit of the Dakota County Environmental Resources Department. The position will require in-office and field work throughout the County, with the ability to work remotely from home as approved by the Water Resources Project Supervisor.
This is a great opportunity for students to explore their interests and gain work experience in the Water Resources Engineering field. This position will last approximately 3-4 months during the summer season. Candidates who are interested in a formal internship are responsible for making arrangements with their university/college. Candidates must be able to occasionally work a flexible schedule, including early morning or evening hours. This position does not include benefits.

Overview
The Engineering Intern position at Endeavor Air will integrate knowledge and theory learned in the classroom with practical application and skills development in a professional workplace. Virginia Spaceport Authority Internship Program
gives students the chance to apply their education to real-world challenges through meaningful, hands-on projects. SUMMARY
General Description: Under supervision, with general direction and oversight, this position primarily supports the technical oversight of assigned engineered systems. Support areas include cryogenic, pneumatic, fuel, electrical, control, hydraulic, structural, HVAC, and water systems.
Responsibilities and Duties: Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Works directly with customers, support contractors, and VCSFA technical staff in a team environment.
Assists with developing system operations, testing, maintenance procedures, engineering work packages for hazardous operations, system drawings, trouble-shooting plans, certification documentation, system performance metrics, and documents required by MARS operational directives.
Assists with developing and maintaining operational system parameters, including commodity levels in relation to operational requirements; spares critical for flight and maintenance, sampling and system cleanliness, outage requests and tracking, system configuration control, and producing weekly status reports.
Monitors and provides recommendations to increase operating efficiency, performance, safety, and reliability.
Assists with developing Materials for Change Configuration Board (CCB) and Design Reviews, provides input on engineering processes, and develops and maintains an in-depth technical and resource on the assigned system(s).
Continuously develops a practical understanding of the launch pad systems.
With supervision, monitors and performs fieldwork on the assignment), and coordinates with other internal groups, including QA, Safety, and the Pad Manager.
Attends formal training as needed to pursue required certifications.
Ensures completion of tasks safely and efficiently within the allocated budget/schedule, provides task workload estimates and required resources, provides requirements for task incorporation into the workflow, and complies with all Pad Management, Quality, Documentation, and Safety Policies.

College: Current enrollment in an associate or bachelor's degree program from an accredited college or university

Job-Related Experience:
•Position requires a strong general engineering background.
•Experience with pneumatic, cryogenic, hydraulic, and other liquid and control systems preferred.

The Engineering Intern is responsible for performing a variety of tasks in construction staking, materials testing, and inspection for road construction projects. This position works for the Construction unit within the Dakota County Transportation Department.
This Engineering Intern position is a great opportunity for students to explore their interest and gain work experience in the Engineering, Construction, and/or Survey fields. We will be hiring 2 to 3 interns this summer in our construction unit. The positions will last approximately 3-4 month and may require the ability to work a flexible schedule which include early morning or evening hours to accommodate project deadlines.
