As a Maintenance Mechanic, you'll help bring cereal to customers by ensuring our production equipment is operating efficiently. You will have the chance to work on a variety of mechanical equipment from production to packaging in the plant, as well as collaborate with operations, safety, and expert maintenance leadership!
HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
+ Conducting Preventative Maintenance - Perform basic troubleshooting, repairs and preventative maintenance on production equipment as well as building. You'll aim for excellence every day, helping us bring the best to families!
+ Ensuring Performance Efficiency - Manage machine performance by supporting Operations when they encounter mechanical failures or issues doing production as well as equipment set-up and change overs. We're looking for someone who brings dedication to the table!
+ Following Best Practices - Understand, follow and enforce all established guidelines. Your attention to detail will ensure compliance with all safety, health, quality and company policies, procedures and recognized practices. You'll help us keep delivering success!
Required Qualifications
+ 2 years' experience, with Journeyman's OR Mechanical/Technical Degree preferred, OR 4 year of equivalent experience
+ Basic knowledge of troubleshooting industrial manufacturing equipment
+ High School diploma or GED
+ Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office
+ Demonstrated knowledge of behavior-based safety systems
+ Sitting, standing, walking, lifting and / or repetitive tasks throughout the day. Employee will be required to occasionally lift up to 50lbs
Preferred Qualifications
+ Previous experience in food manufacturing
+ Experience with troubleshooting, repairs and preventative maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment
+ Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
+ Previous welding experience
+ Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office
Salary Range: $36.76 an hour
+ May earn up to $82,700 - $140,591 (annualized) with COLA (Cost Of Living Adjustment) and overtime.
+ Shift Differential applies for 2nd and 3rd shifts.

Qualifications

Essential Responsibilities and Duties
Responsible for performing highly diversified duties such as: installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining the facility's MEP equipment and vehicles according to safety, preventive, and proactive maintenance schedules normal building, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and painting repairs as assigned
Process, complete, and respond to work orders in a timely manner as assigned by the facilities manager
Organize and maintain assigned tools and supplies
Perform construction of stage sets/props and other architectural projects within the building
Responsible for the security system and all inspections of MEP systems
Maintain church fleet of vehicles, which includes standard cars/trucks as well as heavy snow removal equipment, Omni bus, and shuttle carts. Schedule inspections and routine maintenance
Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel and follow safety protocol
Perform landscaping and mowing as needed
Act as the church representative with Manheim township during any permitting process
Additional secondary responsibilities

Perform custodial duties as needed

Assist with all work related to the maintenance of plant, property and equipment according to need. Including but not limited to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, custodial, painting, floor care, grounds keeping, snow removal and security system.
Assist with the cleanliness of the premises, including but not limited to; floor care, restrooms, common areas, kitchen, private offices (upon request), store, classrooms, and the outside and common areas.

To perform a variety of semi-skilled and skilled work in a several areas of the building trades and groundskeeping in order to repair and maintain the building and equipment Family House (FH).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintains an awareness of the FH Guest Standards and applies them when the opportunity arises.

Maintains a basic maintenance log acceptable to Family House standards.
Works in TELS to document maintenance activities and preventative plans.
Moves and transports supplies and materials as needed.
Maintains orderly storage and maintenance work areas.
Works in collaboration with the maintenance team.
Assists with snow removal and overall maintenance of all facility grounds.
Must carry a smart phone or other communication device during regular shifts or on-call hours.
Assists with set-up, tear-down, transporting materials, and various other duties associated with Family House special events.
Completes special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

SPECIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Working knowledge of routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on building systems and equipment, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems, to ensure the smooth operation and safety of a facility, often involving preventative maintenance checks and responding to emergency repairs when needed.
Must be able to read and write in English and follow verbal and written instructions.
Must demonstrate ability to read simple blueprints.
Ability to safely handle and use common tools.
Must be able to operate maintenance equipment, including snow blowers, lawn mowers, etc.
Must possess a valid PA Driver's License and have no motor vehicle violations within the past 3 years.
Integrated pest management.
Analyze and respond appropriately to emergency situations.
Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays; on-call every other weekend.
PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to walk, stand and bend during an entire eight hour shift.
Must have finger, hand and upper body dexterity to push, pull and move levers and equipment.
Ability to lift, push and pull up to 25 pounds.
Must be able to work with arms raised above the head and be able to maneuver a fully loaded cart throughout the hallways during the workday.
Ability to clean and meet inspection standards for a typical checked-out suite.
