This program is available to new graduate Imaging students or Imaging professionals seeking to gain experience in a different modality. JOB PURPOSE: Operates radiologic equipment to make clinical diagnostic images and performs routine diagnostic procedures according to established standards and practices. Provide patient services using imaging modalities. Provides patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Attends and completes all required didactic training courses 2. Resident must complete all required supervised imaging procedures and document them according to ARRT guidelines 3. Performs and addresses the following tasks in each procedure: Patient preparation and education Provide for patient comfort and cooperation by familiarizing patient with the equipment and procedure, stressing the need for cooperation, and by providing general psychological support Solicit and record patient clinical history relevant to the performance and interpretation of imaging procedure Document clinical information for radiologists Responds to patient questions Imaging procedures Selecting equipment appropriate to the patient and procedure Select appropriate exposure factors Position Patient and equipment to provide desired imaging Evaluate images to ensure they contain proper identification and are of diagnostic quality 4. Resident must actively participate in the performance, evaluation and recording of all quality control tests outlined by the ARRT 5. Accurately follows all established imaging protocols for exam being performed. 6. Adhere to the Radiation Safety Policies and the principles of a viable dose reduction program. 7. Resident must become certified by the ARRT within 3 months of completing training program. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES: 1. Must be able to operate many types of imaging equipment. 2. Must deliver SAFE care in accordance with the Alwaysafe program. 3. Must use AIDET with every encounter and be proficient with service recovery.     Summit Trail is a 41-unit Permanent Supportive Housing Program for single and parenting young adults ages 16-24 who are at risk of homelessness or aging out of the foster care or juvenile justice systems. TransitionZ Program is a supportive program for consumers of Summit Trail. The program provides supportive housing to young adults with a mental health diagnosis and in need of independent living skills and supportive housing. TransitionZ Program aids consumers through a complete network of staff that includes Life Coaches, Resident Advisors, an Operations Manager, TransitionZ Program Manager and Program Director. Services are made available to consumers 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Position Description Summit Trail Direct Care Staff is responsible for the direct supervision of consumers and the daily operations of program services related to safety, supervision, consumer skill building and facilitation of Life Skills. Due to the varied life experiences and traumatic histories that our consumers bring to the facility, staff must not only provide adequate safety and supervision, but also be actively engaged in the process of building relationships. Direct Care Staff must also have an overall means of collaboration, commitment, excellent problem-solving skills, all while providing a safe, genuine, caring and empathic environment. Purpose: To ensure the safety and welfare of program participants and a smooth flow of household operations, including general supervision and care of program participants.
