Eaton's ES GEIS CHD division is currently seeking a Production Worker. The core hours are 6:00am to 2:30 pm. The hourly rate for this position is $19.05 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
**What you'll do:**
+ Perform a variety of assembly, machining, labeling, and packing.
+ Work from Assembly layouts and drawings.
+ Operate single spindle and multi-spindle drill press to drill, tap, ream, counterbore, mill, and slot.
+ Perform all required repetitive duties to load, unload, hang, spray paint, wash, a wide variety of materials and components to and from conveyors, paint hooks/tables, trees, trucks, etc.
+ Operate fork truck or hand truck as required to move, stack, and deliver material to and from proper destinations or surface areas.
+ Duties involve following prescribed routines or detailed instructions requiring minor decisions.

+ No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Syracuse, NY will be considered.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Is capable of identifying die cast machine mechanical problems and knows when to take action to correct them
or to call in help from a mechanic.
Capable of safely removing die cast tooling from die cast machine.
Knows how to set up trim presses for new jobs.
Helps mechanics with set ups on the machines and starting the die cast machine with new jobs.
Capable of removing stuck casting without creating any die damage.
Trains new die cast operators.
Begins to assist the mechanics with changing shot system parameters.
Capable of programming and adjusting auto sprayers completely from the beginning steps.
Helps mechanics to troubleshoot and repair minor mechanical problems on the die cast machine.
Understands how to make minor adjustments and the purpose for doing so to the auto sprayers and can rebuild
spray heads.
Capable of proficiently assembling plunger tips to correct specifications for the job.
Begins to learn set ups on both the die cast machine and the trip press by helping the mechanics.
Begins to assist the mechanics with fixing and installing oil lines.
Reports any production difficulties or quality problems to immediate supervisor or mechanic.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including overtime and weekends, as production schedules and
requirements change on a regular basis according to business needs.

Assures trim die is free of debris and lubricated properly with each use.

Responsible for containment of all non-conforming product, and ensuring it is properly identified.
Understands when the metal level is too low and how to fill the furnace safely and which metal to use. Knows
to watch the temperature of the metal in the furnace and when to call for help if it gets too hot or too cold.
Enters job and production information into Epicor to track activities completed throughout the shift. Is able to
record scrap and start up shots in addition to other job activities.
Performs in process inspections every two hours on the parts and logging this information onto a sheet.
Capable of starting the machine at the beginning of the shift for a job that was previously running.
Follows all safety procedures including abiding by all safety latches, locks and gates on the machinery.
Covers breaks and lunches at other die cast machines.
Can run trim press and inspect parts at a variety of die cast machines and will be expected to move around and
work different machines as business levels dictate.
Keeps floor and area surrounding workstation clean and free from water and oil.
Dumps scrap and doss at the end of the shift and as needed. Knows how to safely move the parts and material
around using pallet jacks and carts.
Packages up parts in boxes for the shipping department.
Is responsible for reporting any production difficulties to mechanic or immediate supervisor.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including overtime and weekends, as production schedules and
requirements change on a regular basis according to business needs.

Perform 6S duties as required and maintain housekeeping standards of cell assigned.
Communicate effectively with other team members in the cell as well as attend all team meetings, problem solving sessions, training, shift meetings, etc. as necessary.
Report immediately any job-related injuries, quality issues or potential production delays to the team lead.

A Machine Operator I for Bastian Solutions will be responsible for operation of machinery used to aid in the production of parts for material handling equipment projects. The main emphasis for this position is machine operation of 3-4 of the following machines including, but not limited to laser, waterjet, press brake, CNC milling machine, CNC lathe, and turret punch. Other duties to include general parts cleaning as well as general repair and maintenance of Bastian Solutions' equipment. A Machine Operator will be responsible for maintaining tolerances and dimensions specified by an individual print. A Machine Operator II will have 5-7 years' experience in operating machinery at Bastian Solutions or be proficient in machine CNC programming in addition to operation.
Job Functions
With little guidance ability to operate CNC machinery to produce high quality fabricated parts from engineering drawings.
With little guidance works from sketches/drawings to produce parts from sheet metal, plate and bar stock
Keep workspace in a neat and organized order
Show mutual respect for coworkers

Overtime required when necessary.
Follow safety protocols per JSA (Job Safety Analysis).

This position will report directly to the Production Supervisor and will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating mailing equipment to ensure the highest quality of processing for our customers.
Essential Functions:
Effectively perform mail equipment processing - converting post-press product into finished product by following job ticket instructions.
Responsible for ensuring that mail equipment is operating efficiently while producing product that conforms to a quality standard.
Accurately setup equipment to meet specific customer requirements.
Perform and document quality checks to ensure compliance with company standards and customer specifications.
Retrieve cores, boxes, and other supplies and materials for the equipment and daily operation.
Inspect equipment for defects and perform general maintenance duties, as necessary.
Ability to read and understand written instructions and job tickets, as well as comprehend verbal instructions.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Participate in department meetings, training, and continuous improvement events.
