The Associate Technician - Shipping, Receiving, & Distribution is responsible for material movement of raw materials, finished goods, supplies and equipment. We need an experienced individual contributor who understands warehouse concepts and practices including shipping, receiving, and inventory control and who can work independently and as part of a team.
This position reports to the Materials Manager and is part of the Materials team and will be working onsite in West Sacramento, CA.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
+ Receive all incoming material and forward for inspection or storage
+ Schedule domestic and international shipments via 3PL suppliers, create accurate shipping documents, pick and pack product for shipment, and ship orders
+ Kit and move dry, liquid, and frozen material to and from cold and ambient storage locations
The essential requirements of the job include:
+ High school degree (or equivalent degree) with fluency in English language
+ 2+ years exp in warehouse or manufacturing environment including forklift operation
+ Must have proficient computer skills including MS Office (Outlook, Word, etc.), PDF generation and editing, and experience with Oracle or similar ERP system. This is most important!
Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
+ Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
+ Able to lift, move or carry material & equipment up to 50lb
+ Able to work in hot environments (shipping/receiving dock in summer) and cold storage
