Occupational therapist job at BSA Health System
The Physical Therapist will work in an inpatient/acute care setting at a 450-bed hospital, providing therapy services across various diagnoses including orthopedic, neurological, oncology, and post-surgical cases. The therapist will collaborate closely with the occupational and speech therapy teams, as well as case management, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Responsibilities
Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients within the inpatient setting.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and discharge plans.
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
Educate patients and families on rehabilitation processes and strategies.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
TX Physical Therapy license (will accept pending).
Minimum of 1 year experience in an acute care setting.
BLS certification.

The Therapist is responsible for conducting Biopsychosocial Assessments, individual, family and group therapy, as well as treatment plan creation and updating in respective assigned timelines. Position Summary
The Therapist is responsible for providing support to the day-to-day operations of the Inpatient and/or Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient programs including, but not limited to: administrative functions, utilization review, assessment, discharge planning, group/individual therapy, case management, and other duties related to delivering a successful program.

Complete psychosocial assessments
Provide group therapy or co-lead groups
Provide individual/family therapy sessions and crisis intervention
Provides case management services to patients in Inpatient &/or PHP/IOP

Qualifications
Master's Degree from an accredited college or university, in Social Work or a clinical related mental health field required.
Must possess a TX State licensure: LPC, LPC-I, LPC-A, LMSW, LMFT or LCSW required.
A minimum of two (2) years' experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills; must have strong clinical assessment skills. Combination of education, licensure and experience and/or student internship hours may be considered. Will be required to work flexible hours.
* CPR and HWC Crisis Intervention training must be completed prior to beginning work.
* Must be available to attend the full hospital orientation: Week 1: M-F 8 AM - 5 PM

Responsibilities
As a Program Therapist at Meridell Achievement Center, you'll be part of a dynamic and compassionate treatment team dedicated to providing exceptional care to children and adolescents with emotional, behavioral, and neurobehavioral challenges. Qualifications
What You'll Bring:
Current State of Texas license as a PhD, PsyD, LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LMSW, LMFT-A, or LPC-A, obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
Effective interpersonal skills and competent clinical skills
Collaborative, positive attitude and strong work ethic
Preferred Requirements:
Two years post-licensure experience, advanced training or certification in an evidence-based practice such as EMDR, CBT, or DBT
One year of clinical experience in RTC setting
One year of group facilitation experience
