The Difference You Make:
The Associate, Business Control & Risk Management operates within the First Line of Defense and is accountable to assist the Business Control & Risk Management team in driving effective and consistent business line execution against the Enterprise Risk Management Framework. Continuously monitors all sources of risk existing within the Business Line and externally. Monitor Key Risk Indicators and report on negative/adverse trends in Business Line. Monitor risk profile to maintain tolerance within Risk Appetite.
Where applicable, Issue Identification, Management, and Risk Assessment: Conduct RCSA responsibilities including Process Mapping, Risk & Control Matrices, Inherent Risk Assessments, Internal Control testing and Heracles data/input. Engage and hold Business Line process owners accountable to identify and assess risks. Support Business Lines in risk identification (e.g. NPBA, change management, etc.) Ensure all issues (Self-Identified, IA, Credit Risk Review or Regulatory) pertaining to the Business Line are resolved within established timelines. Internal Control Testing: Implement and maintain internal control testing and control effectiveness monitoring in the Business Line. Validate the adequacy of controls, escalate deficiencies as appropriate. Identify root causes of control deficiencies/weaknesses and take appropriate action to ensure Business Lines remediate and prevent recurrence.
Exam Management: Liaison with the Business Line for all exam related activities including regulatory, Internal Audit and Credit Risk Review. Review materials, responses and validate Business Line remediation work (e.g. artifacts, action plans, etc.).
Support the implementation of Key Risk Indicator (KRI) framework: Formally define and document metric definition details (metric type, provider, approver, numerator & denominator descriptions, source, scope, thresholds, Risk Basel category) in the centralized repository, Support structured metric submission process with established timeline and requirements.

Reporting to the VP of Finance, the Business Analyst Intern will support the global rare disease business unit's financial planning activities during the annual budget preparation. Compensation

Work Location Flexibility

Reporting to the VP of Finance, the Business & Reporting Analyst Intern will support business analysis and monthly reporting activities while gaining exposure to global finance operations.
You'll be responsible for:
Supporting cost management and cross-functional collaboration by assisting various teams in managing their expenses and ensuring accurate and timely sharing of financial information.
Partnering with FP&A business partners across countries, regions, and functions to collect data, align on key priorities, and foster collaboration across the finance community.
Preparing financial analysis materials tailored to different audiences, ensuring clarity and relevance for stakeholders.
Assisting in the development of ad hoc financial analyses and business cases to support strategic decision-making when required.
You will need to have
Current undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field with an expected graduation date of Fall 2026 or later.
Strong analytical and organizational skills.
Proficiency in PowerPoint (strong knowledge required).
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
Location
This is a hybrid role based in Boston, MA. Interns are expected to work on-site up to 3 days per week.
Compensation
The hourly base pay for this position ranges from $22 to $30. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including education level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. If hired, the employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
