The Opportunity:
Create and modify 3D models and assemblies in SolidWorks and other CAD tools.
Produce detailed technical drawings, including dimensions, tolerances, specifications, and material requirements.
Collaborate with engineers, product development teams, and other stakeholders to develop concepts and refine designs.
Manage design changes, including creating and tracking engineering change orders (ECOs) and revising documentation.
Ensure designs are accurate, cost-effective, and meet project requirements.
Maintain and organize CAD files and revision history.

Administer, maintain, and optimize SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM environments.
Manage user accounts, permissions, group policies, and license distribution
May generate, maintain, and organize library of standard parts for use across multiple programs.
May serve as liaison between PLM/ERP teams for CAD-related integrations and data workflows.
May develop, implement, and enforce CAD and PDM standards, templates, libraries, and best practices.
Qualifications:
Required:
At least seven (7) years of relevant mechanical design and drafting experience using CAD software, with SolidWorks strongly preferred.
Robust understanding of mechanical design principles, engineering processes, CAD data management, and configuration control.
Familiarity of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), stack-up analysis, and mechanical drafting standards.
Strong attention to detail, organized files, and commitment to documentation accuracy.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Familiarity with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) with experience applying these principles to improve product manufacturability.
Must be a US Citizen.

Draft and update MEP layouts (Mechanical, Electrical, HVAC, Piping, Fire Protection, Life Safety, IT, Controls).
Produce isometric drawings, schematics, and discipline-specific details.
Drawing Management
Maintain drafting files, directories, and drawing revision histories.
Manage file organization, pen tables, templates, borders, X-refs, etc.
Convert redlines and markups into accurate as-builts and integrate them into master drawings.
Field Work & Coordination
Conduct on-site field surveys to verify dimensions, conditions, and equipment placement.
Collaborate with facilities, engineering, contractors, and project teams.
Provide occasional administrative and project support.
Documentation Support
Prepare supporting documentation in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe formats.
Assist with developing plant information packages, equipment documentation, and construction drawings.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of hands-on drafting experience.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and 2D drafting systems.
Strong understanding of architectural and MEP drafting standards.
Knowledge of GD&T.
Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, engineering drawings, topographic surveys, and construction documents.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and documentation.
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills.
Ability to manage multiple drafting tasks and meet deadlines.
Desired Skills
Experience with Revit, AutoCAD 3D, or other 3D building modeling tools.
3D product modeling experience using Creo, SolidWorks, or similar platforms.
BIM management experience.
Bluebeam and Adobe software proficiency.
Background in project or construction management, including planning and executing small projects from start to finish.
Education
High School Diploma with strong relevant experience required.
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
