    PARK MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR - NORTHERN DIVISION / GOLD FIELDS DISTRICT / FACILITIES DEVELOPMENT The reporting location for this position is Marshall Gold Discovery State Historic Park located in Coloma, CA. The Park Maintenance Supervisor serves as a first level supervisor to the Marshall Gold SHP Maintenance Staff and is under the general direction of the Park Maintenance Chief II. The Park Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for oversight of various sector operations including: housekeeping, road and trail maintenance, the sector burn program, purchasing, contracts, oversight of various crews, facility fire resiliency, hiring, vehicle fleet maintenance, project coordination California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) compliance and resource protection. This position requires the possession of a valid Class C driver's license. You must answer the questions addressing your driver's license on your application. This position will work under the general direction of the Senior Park and Recreation Specialist. The Park Maintenance Chief III (PMC III) serves as a manager responsible for the departmental OHV/Statewide Trail Crew Program (SWTC). The essential job functions include the oversight of trail repair and maintenance, equipment operation and maintenance, resource protection, and supervision. This position acts as the departmental liaison for the DPR Youth Corps Partnership Program for the department-wide Youth Corps Master Agreements. This position provides leadership, management, supervision, training and employee development opportunities to the staff and serves as technical expert on trail construction and maintenance issues. The incumbent maintains cooperative professional relationships within the community to further the philosophy and purposes of the State Parks System and ensure clear, direct contact is maintained with local, State, Federal and outside entities with similar roles and responsibilities.
