Under the general direction of the Administrator I in the Federal/State & Special Audit Section (FSSAS), the incumbent's primary responsibility is to provide highly technical guidance and review for staff in accordance with established audit standards, policies, and procedures. The incumbent participates as a team member with peers and others to identify and resolve work related issues and is responsible for the technical training and development of audit staff. The incumbent consults with staff in other sections and programs to ensure uniform, appropriate, and consistent application of related policies, laws, and procedures on a department wide basis, as well as handling the most complex and highly sensitive cases. The incumbent is expected to learn and rotate between both assessment and resolution workloads based on operational needs and maintain the expected level of productivity and accuracy.

Audit Business Support (ABS) is searching for a talented individual to join our team. Under the general supervision of the Administrator I, the incumbent performs various analytical tasks in support of the Audit and Legal Divisions. The incumbent will perform the most complex account adjustments and review audit closing processes completed by ABS technicians, analysts and auditors for accuracy, consistency, and compliance. The incumbent is responsible for processing and reviewing workloads, such as but not limited to: workloads related to interest, timely filing, payments in non-billable status, notice processing, BETS transactions, over $100K, mixed files, and Notice of Proposed Assessment (NPAs). Incumbent will work with systems such as Case Management (CM), Taxpayer Folder (TPF), and Business Entities Tax System (BETS) to analyze accounts for completeness and accuracy. As a lead, the Program Specialist I is responsible for providing feedback, mentorship, guidance, and training to ABS staff. The Program Specialist I is an ABS subject matter expert, who will provide technical assistance to internal and external stakeholders and provide technical expertise for the success of Enterprise Data Revenue (EDR).
