We are looking for individuals that possess the ability to provide psychotherapy to clients and help them to become mentally sound, emotionally balanced, socially adjusted, physically well, and spiritually alive. Key Result Areas: For residential clients, fulfill the mental health component of the co-occurring licensure requirements, which includes completing the initial mental health screen of all new clients within the first 3 days of arrival into program (GAIN-SS), and subsequently completing the diagnostic assessment (DA) within 10 days. Maintain a minimum of 25 direct client contact hours per week (for full time), or averaging at least 60% of available time as direct client contact if part time. This will include a combination of 1:1 or group psychotherapy, as well as facilitating co-occurring substance use groups. Complete all substance use documentation within the day of service, and mental health documentation within 72 hours of rendering the service. Fulfill expectations on maintaining documentation tracking of clients in the residential site. Attend weekly multidisciplinary clinical staffing meetings. Attend weekly departmental clinical consultation meetings. Number of grievances/maltreatment reports is no greater than 1 per month. Pass quarterly peer review internal documentation review process Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Essential Functions) Adhering to MN State Statutes, code of ethics, insurance requirements, and Northstars policy and procedures. Maintain resident/client records in accordance with Northstars policy requirements. Complete continuing education courses in current treatment concepts and methods as required by the State of Minnesota to maintain professional license. Attend in-house training, all scheduled Northstar/Bridges staff meetings, and consultations. Hold a caseload of clients, providing all components of a psychotherapeutic episode of care from DA through termination. Coordinate care with all providers that are on the client's care team. Our program incorporates psychiatry with psychotherapy to holistically treat clients in our care supporting them in gaining skills to be successful at home, in school and in the community. As a Day Treatment Intensive Outpatient Mental Health Therapist your focus will be on assessment, treatment, and prevention services to children, adolescents, and their families as well as consultation with the school staff working with the student. Hennepin Healthcare seeks a full-time Rehabilitation Neuropsychologist to provide inpatient and outpatient evaluation and treatment of adults with a variety of neurological and medical conditions. The position will primarily support our acute inpatient rehabilitation program (Miland E. Knapp Rehabilitation Program), as well as our Traumatic Brain Injury Outpatient Program. THE REHAB NEUROPSYCHOLOGIST WILL: * Treat patients at a Level I Trauma Center with a range of presenting concerns * Function in a multidisciplinary team setting with participation in daily scheduled rounds and other communications with members of inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation teams to integrate findings for treatment planning * Work in both outpatient and inpatient settings * Select, administer, score, and interpret brief and comprehensive neuropsychological test batteries (psychometry support for comprehensive assessments available). * Develop treatment plans, counsel patients and their families regarding deficits, diagnose cognitive disorders, and provide appropriate recommendations * Complete abbreviated and comprehensive reports in a timely manner * Meet with patients and families to provide feedback and communicate treatment recommendations * Consult on diagnosis, treatment, and neuropsychological issues to medical and mental health professionals, government agencies, and community organizations * Supervise and train entry-level clinical/neuropsychologists, graduate students, interns and fellows * Provide discharge planning and follow-up services including referrals for patients and families. * Maintain patient documentation per organization requirements. * Assist in maintaining standards for clinical accreditation by health management organizations, internship program accreditation by the American Psychological Association and state licensure The successful applicant will join 6 neuropsychologist colleagues, supported by a team of experienced psychometrists.
