    The Housing Coordinator is responsible for all lease functions for new and existing tenants. Assist tenants with housing stability and self-sufficiency. The service delivery will vary according to each family/individual needs and progress toward achieving self-defined goals. This position will be very intentional in ensuring all programs and performance standards are integrated and met throughout our housing portfolio. The Housing Coordinator will provide back-up support for the Senior Property Manager. Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following: Conduct tenant lease-up and move ins along with recertification activities. Explain all program information, regulations and eligibility criteria. Determine program eligibility for CAP Housing participants, secure signed documents required for program participation, complete rent calculations, recertifications. Maintain client files and program data for automated tracking and reporting systems for the housing department including Client Track, HUD, MN Housing, ESG, HOME, Tenant Roster, etc. Assist individuals and families who reside in CAP Housing units who have experienced homelessness with basic needs, housing stability, community resources, individual goals and self-sufficiency. Assist in maintaining full occupancy of all CAP rental units. Assist in completing all CAP Agency application wrap-around programming materials. Develop and write client plans specific to emotional, physical, social, and cultural issues in an effort to reduce housing barriers and move towards self-sustaining goals. Respect and respond competently to the culture, traditions, lifestyle, language, and values of each client. Participate in community and group partnerships ensuring involvement in agency activities, including policy groups and training. Contribute to effective program practices and maintain a commitment to professionalism. Create and distribute newsletter to tenants. Complete purchases orders as needed. Assist the Housing Administrative assistance as needed. In the absence of the Senior Property Manager, the Property Coordinator will be the primary contact for the CAP Housing program. Other duties as assigned. Local community resources and regional community services programs and response systems. Skill in: Ability to coordinate multiple housing programs, address tenant concerns, and maintain positive relationships with program partners. Must possess skills to work with special needs populations with various mental health, chemical dependency, and developmental and behavioral issues. Ability to prepare clear and concise reports, correspondence and other written materials. Must be able to handle a fast-paced environment, be sensitive to the needs of the organization and its staff and understand confidentiality and its implications. Operating a personal computer utilizing specialized software and entering information into a computer system with speed and accuracy. Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT Work is performed in a standard office environment which requires occasionally lifting such articles as file boxes or heavier materials with help from others and/or lifting and carrying light objects frequently. Mobility to drive a motor vehicle in order to see tenants and attend meetings. A job in this category may require walking or standing to a significant degree or may involve sitting most of the time with long periods of computer work and heavy phone usage. This role will require the mobility to climb stairs in locations where elevators are not an option and/or working environment will occasionally have odors that are bothersome. Family Service Coordinator - Emergency Housing Services 1.0 FTE SUMMARY The Family Service Coordinator (FSC) for Emergency Services responds to emergency needs of clients who seek or utilize CAP Services. Many of the clients who seek these services are experiencing homelessness or near homelessness and need housing resources. Clients are then assessed for eligibility of specific services and programs and offered various resources. This FSC position will operate in the Shakopee office. The intensity of service delivery will vary according to individual need and progress toward achieving self-defined goals along with the need to deploy at each location based on current client volume. Communities are involved to ensure there are lasting connections for the individuals and families living there. Maintain individual and family files and program data for automated tracking and reporting systems for the Housing Department as directed by funding source. Case manages clients specific to emotional, physical, social, and cultural issues in an effort to reduce housing barriers. Monitor client progress toward goals by checking in with the client. The FSC challenges, assists, councils, advocates for, and empowers clients to become self-supporting. Establish mutually respectful partnerships with individuals and families to support the efforts of individuals and families to reach their goals. Complete application materials for all CAP Agency programs and maintain record keeping. Coordinate and integrate the CAP Agency's program services to enhance effectiveness. Support individuals and families in accessing community resources. Participate in a CAP Agency Community Team to implement outreach, recruitment, and development of community partnerships for agency programs. Offer individuals in the community and community groups the opportunity to be involved in agency activities, including policy groups and training. Attend community meetings as directed by supervisor. Contribute to effective program practices and maintain a commitment to professionalism. Other duties as assigned.
