What Can I Expect as a Direct Support Professional (DSP)?
As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) at Beacon, you will support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism, and mental health challenges. Your role will be instrumental in helping residents live independently, achieve personal goals, and improve their quality of life.
Daily Responsibilities Include:
· Provide Support & Care: Encourage and guide individuals throughout the day to meet their goals, following person-centered and behavior plans.
· Foster a Safe Environment: Create a trust-filled space where individuals feel safe, supported, and respected, ensuring their rights are upheld.
· Meal Prep & Housekeeping: Cook meals based on dietary specifications and assist with laundry and cleaning to maintain a safe and organized home environment.
· Transportation & Advocacy: Transport individuals to appointments, advocate on their behalf, and assist with documentation.
· Medication Administration: Administer medications as prescribed and ensure the correct dosage is provided.
· 24/7 Availability: Remain awake and accessible in homes requiring round-the-clock care.
· Supervise Daily Activities: Support individuals with personal care, life skills, and social activities.

Qualifications:
· Required:
o High school diploma or GED.
o Must be 18 years of age or older.
o Valid driver's license.

· Preferred:
o 1-2 years of experience in healthcare, social services, or a related field (but not required).
o Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).

Your Role as the Nursing AssistantAssisted Living | Non-Certified - Training Provided
As a Nursing Assistant in our Assisted Living community, you'll have one of the most direct impacts on our residents' daily lives. You'll support residents' physical and emotional well-being by assisting with activities of daily living while helping create a warm, respectful, and home-like environment.

Summary
The Nursing Assistant provides direct personal care and support to residents under the direction of licensed staff and community leadership. This role focuses on assisting with daily living activities, promoting dignity and comfort, and serving as a positive ambassador to residents, families, and visitors.

Attend and participate in required training, seminars, and continuing education programs.
Maintain compliance with FCSR, OIG, and EDL to remain eligible for employment.
Observe all policies and procedures, including safety, infection control, and consumer rights.
Position requirements:
Must have transportation and provide proof of vehicle insurance.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
One of the following qualifications is required:
A minimum of six (6) months of paid experience in a caregiving role, such as Homemaker, Nurse Aide, or Household Worker.

Qualifications:
· Required:
