This role works independently and in collaboration with doctors to provide follow-up care and develop injury prevention and treatment programs for injured athletes. Essential Job Function * Evaluates and treats all diagnoses and more complex patients. * Conducts thorough evaluations of patients' physical abilities, medical history, and functional limitations to develop individualized treatment plans. * Administers therapeutic exercises and other physical therapy interventions to improve patients' strength, flexibility, and range of motion. * Educates patients and their families on treatment plans, home exercises, and self-management techniques to improve recovery outcomes. * Collaborates with others in developing and implementing discharge plans and recommendations for continued care. * Monitors and documents patients' progress, treatment outcomes, and responses to interventions so that treatment plans can be adjusted as needed. * Collaborates on teams from different departments to ensure coordinated patient care and holistic treatment outcomes. * Assists with orientation and training of new staff, demonstrates an ongoing commitment to improve the performance and skill of co-workers. * Performs other duties as assigned. Education * Required: Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy Experience * Required: 2 years Licensure/Certification/Listing * Required: North Carolina license by the NCPT Board of Physical Therapy Examiners; BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
