The SUB AIT program supports the In-Service Attack Submarines Program Office (PMS 392) under Program Executive Office Attack Submarines (PEO SSN) to achieve optimal submarine operational readiness by providing /production support, component repairs and technical support to accomplish repair, maintenance, removal/installation, troubleshooting and associated testing for Chief of Naval Operations (CNO) submarine maintenance availabilities.
The efforts associated with this program will help restore and maintain the material condition and modernization of the fast attack submarines of the United State Navy.
**Requirements**
+ 2+ years' experience performing repair work on nuclear submarines within the trade they are being assigned.
+ HS/GED
+ Must be US Citizen.
+ Confidential Security Clearance or higher level required.
Personnel shall have at least 2+ years' experience performing repair work on nuclear submarines within the trade they are being assigned.
Personnel shall have DOW type "final" security clearance (DISCO authority with a minimum of a confidential clearance status).
At a minimum, all personnel shall be United States citizens and shall possess a final favorable adjudicated tier 3 investigation. Contractor personnel must have a Department of War Personnel Security Clearance (PCL) at the confidential level or higher.
Carpenter (Shipwright)
Shipwright (TSD A5): Construct keel blocking, cradles, shoring, cribbing, staging and other structures to support ship repair. Includes tasks in support of nuclear/radiological work. Align and check navigation lights. Operate optical transits and auto levels. Set and align binnacle and compasses and establish benchmarks.
Carpenter (Shipwright) Tasks
TSD A5 (Shipwright):
Erect and dismantle staging/scaffolding on dry docked or waterborne ships including staging around the sail, stern or within internal tanks and voids.
Erect and dismantle all types of temporary platforms
Build shelters and plenums and install temporary blocking.
Maintain, adjust and repair staging and its associated equipment.
Layout, manufacture and install temporary decking aboard ships.
Regularly inspect staging for any discrepancy which may compromise safety, and takes appropriate actions to rectify identified discrepancies as required. Notify competent authority of corrective actions required.
Carpenter (Shipwright) Skill Requirements
TSD A5 (Shipwright):
Trained, qualified and have experience with all tasks and components similar to that outlined for TSD A5.
Qualified and experienced in operating and working from a Manlift (also known as JLG).
Experienced in and able to erect, maintain, and remove pipe staging and related life rails, platforms and accesses.
Trained, qualified and medically fit to wear respiratory protection devices IAW 29 CFR 1910.134 (Subpart I).
Trained and qualified to wear safety harnesses and work from scaffolds/platforms where drop off will be greater than 5 feet IAW 29 CFR 1915 (Subpart I)

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $39.56 - $53.52. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.

* Build and repair buildings, sheds, scaffolds, and other structures from plans, sketches, or instructions.

We're looking for those with:
* Completion of a recognized apprenticeship as a carpenter.

Requirements:
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Experience: Five (5) years fixture installation and retail or commercial finish carpentry experience. One (1) year minimum supervisory experience.
Certification(s): OSHA10 or 30, Forklift, aerial lift (Company will provide if necessary).
Technology: Able to download and use APPS on phone and mobile devices. Able to make electronic submissions though company portal.
Physical Demands: Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time, climb ladders, work from an aerial lift. Frequent bending, kneeling, twisting and squatting. Work with materials over your head for short durations. Able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs. regularly.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Must be able to pass a Drug Screening, Criminal Background Check and MVR screening for approved driving status.
Must be able to complete a Company Sponsored CPR/First Aid Training course online.
Available to work overtime as needed. Our typical workweek is 40 to 60 hours.
Be flexible to work non-conventional shifts when required (some overnight projects may occur).
Able to travel and be away from home for durations from 2-8 weeks depending on our contract.
Must provide own basic hand tools and cordless drill.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
· Able to complete onsite millwork, cabinet and countertop, fixture, graphic and décor installs in commercial and retail environments.
· Personnel management of various crew sizes ranging from 3-6 employees or larger projects of 8 or more employees.
· Able to receive, stage and manage large inventory of millwork and fixture parts for distribution and installation.
· Able to evaluate site conditions, construction and delivery schedules and when these factors are not aligned, clearly and effectively communicate to Project Management Team, onsite contractor or when necessary, our client.
· Able to establish and understand layouts for millwork, fixtures and other elements.
· Must always represent the company in a professional manner. Adopt and embrace our company Core Values.
· Report time sheets, expense reports, daily reports and progress photos electronically. Generate additional work validations as required when non-contract scope is required.
· Perform all tasks of a finish carpenter including installation of cabinets, countertops, standing and running trim (base, chair rail, crown moldings, door and window casings), scribing, coping, installing wall panel systems, retail fixtures etc.
· Ability to manage and motivate others while maintaining professionalism.
· Able to professionally interact with clients, general contractors and other sub-contractors.
· Strong working knowledge of woodworking hand and power tools.
· Strong working knowledge and understanding of architectural drawings, shop drawings and fixturing floorplans.
· Must have a strong commitment to job site safety including always maintaining a clean jobsite.
