**Job Summary and Responsibilities** As our Maintenance Engineer, you will be a critical technical leader, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and longevity of facilities, equipment, and systems. Every day, you will design and implement preventive maintenance programs, conduct root cause analyses, and develop repair strategies. You'll oversee projects, manage budgets, ensure compliance, and collaborate to improve efficiency and operational integrity.
To be successful in this role, you will possess a strong engineering foundation, advanced technical troubleshooting skills, proven project management abilities, and a proactive, analytical mindset to minimize downtime and maximize asset life.
+ Performs preventive maintenance on critical building systems and responds to calls for equipment issues. Performs repairs and preventive maintenance on other equipment and systems such as Medical Gas, Vacuum systems, fire detection, Energy Plant Equipment, Building HVAC and other facilities equipment and controls. Documents work orders in the electronic work order system.
+ Regularly inspects buildings, grounds and facility equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions and reports Findings, as well as making corrections.
+ Responds to calls from the work call center, accurately completes work orders, coordinates repairs and other service requests with customer's schedule. Responds quickly to requests of departments utilizing our services and provides timely status reports about condition of equipment being serviced.
+ Locates and purchases repair parts, maintain inventory consistent with budget and priority of equipment maintained consistent with the appropriate management approvals and policies.
+ Completes special projects such as installation, relocation or removal of equipment as well as other duties as assigned. Coordinates repair of equipment and systems performed by outside contractors and work completed in facility management system data base. Escalates issues to facility management as needed.

**Job Summary and Responsibilities** + Performs repairs on all types HVAC system equipment and controls. + Develops and monitors the effectiveness and performs preventive maintenance on all HVACsystems and controls. + Performs repairs on refrigeration equipment in accordance with EPA regulations.
+ Performs, develops and monitors the effectiveness of preventive maintenance onrefrigeration equipment.
+ Performs repairs and preventive maintenance on other equipment and systems such as Medical Gas and Vacuum systems, fire detection and alarm systems, Energy Plantequipment and systems, and other facilities equipment and systems.
+ Locates and purchases repair parts, maintain inventory consistent with budget and priorityof equipment maintained consistent with the appropriate management approvals and policies.
+ Completes special projects such as installation, relocation or removal of equipment.
+ Cross trains other staff members in area of expertise.
+ Counsels or trains equipment users on proper operation and hazards of systems andequipment.
+ Documents work orders in the equipment management information system data base.
+ Maintains an accurate inventory of equipment and systems components that are includedin the Utility Management Program.
+ Prepares reports as required by Leadership using information system data.
+ Coordinates repair of equipment and systems performed by outside contractors anddocuments work completed in facility management information system data base.
+ Coordinates repairs and other service work with customer's schedule. Responds quicklyto requests of departments utilizing our services and provides timely status reports aboutcondition of equipment being serviced.
+ Participates in continuing educational and development programs to improve knowledge,maintain competency, and improve productivity.
+ Maintains positive working relationships with customers and other staff members.
+ Participates in section, departmental and cross functional mission, quality improvementand productivity improvement projects and programs.
+ Participates in other duties as assigned.
+ Operates Facility Energy Management System (BAS).
+ Participates in all safety, security and infection control programs that are mandatory aswell as those required and provided by the department
**Job Requirements**
**Minimum Requirements:**
+ A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in repair and maintenance of HVAC equipment and systems is preferred.
+ High School graduate or equivalent.
+ Ability to properly troubleshoot electrical control circuits, Automation system repair knowledge preferred, must be able to effectively work with pneumatic controlled equipment.
+ Must have the versatility to fill other related positons, as applicable.
+ Valid Driver's License.

**Pay Range**
$22.51 - $31.79 /hour
