Qualifications & Skills
Required:
High school diploma or GED.
Proven experience as an Automotive Technician, Mechanic, or similar role.
Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in diagnosing and repairing a wide range of vehicle systems.
Ability to operate modern diagnostic equipment and shop computer systems.
Excellent communication skills and a customer-first attitude.
Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred:
Associate degree in Automotive Technology or completion of an accredited automotive service training program.
Current ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) or SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) certifications.

Responsibilities are but not limited to:
* Become a competent engineering technician in the field of UNREP NST overhaul, maintenance, and testing through on-the-job learning and training at the UNREP Test Site
* Complete Qualification standards associated with Transmission overhaul
* Assist with UNREP equipment overhaul at the UNREP Test Site, including troubleshooting transmissions and other UNREP station equipment

Comply with all company motor vehicle policies and maintain applicable logbooks (e.g., FDOT).

Experience: At least 2+ years of relevant industry experience.
Certifications: Job-related certifications are required.

License: A valid Driver's License is required.
Availability: Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including 12-hour shifts, holidays, overtime, weekends, and on-call rotations.
Travel: Ability to travel extensively and work away from home (out of market) as required by job demands, potentially in extreme weather conditions.

In this role you will be accountable for:
Assembling all types of pump equipment to customer, OEM and industry standard specifications
Disassembling equipment to gain access remove, clean and inspect components
Inspecting & recording component measurements using instruments, tools and gages and providing inspection report
Investigating and determining root cause failure
Determining proper materials for repairs as per BOM
Contouring impellers and pump casings to meet hydraulic requirements
Setting and operating dynamic balancing equipment
Performing final testing and inspections
To succeed in this role, you will need:
Analytical and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail
Extensive knowledge of and ability to use hand tools, precision measuring and testing equipment and machine shop equipment
