Set up job accounts with suppliers that will be used on the project 4. Coordinate with the office to ensure preliminary notices have been sent, insurance certificates have been sent to the General Contractor, Job Book has been completed, plans have been printed for the Superintendent and/or the Foreman 5. Review the contract and meet with Accounting and CEO to discuss any concerns 6. Submit RFIs to the General Contractor, as required. 7. Write up and submit change orders to the General Contractor for extra work or potential extra work and maintain and manage a change order log for each project to help with faster approvals 8. If required, perform a detailed take-off of materials required for the project. Identify materials that may not be approved per the specification book and get approvals for lower cost equals and maintain the project Procurement Log. 9. Generate Purchase Orders & Buy Outs to purchase materials. If Purchase Order exceed limit of authority, meet with VP Operations or COO. 10. Coordinate with the Superintendent on scheduling to ensure material is ordered and delivered at the required dates 11. Complete the schedule of values during the billing cycle and review with the Division Manager and accounting for billing. 12. Coordinate the submission of all close-out documentation as required by the General Contractor 13. As required, provide reporting and analysis on projects to determine profitability and labor efficiency. 14. Assist in recruiting, interviewing, hiring and training new employees. WORKING CONDITIONS: The Project Manager will work at the Statesboro office and at any and all job sites assigned to them. RFIs and Change Management: Serve as the final approver for all outbound Requests for Information (RFIs) and manage the official Change Order process, ensuring timely submission and client approval. 3. Financial and Contract Management Budget Ownership: Full ownership of the project budget (Cost at Completion - CAC). Manage project expenditures, forecast final costs, and analyze budget variances. Client Billing: Oversee monthly progress reports, accurate quantity verification, and timely submission of Applications for Payment (AFPs). Subcontractor Management: Select, negotiate contracts, and manage the performance of all project subcontractors and vendors. Cost Controls: Implement and manage robust project control systems (e.g., Procore, ERP integration) to track, forecast, and report project performance in real-time. 4. Communication and Stakeholder Relations Client Relations: Maintain professional and transparent communication with the client representative, acting as the single point of contact for all contractual matters. Reporting: Conduct regular internal and external progress meetings (weekly and monthly) with detailed reports covering safety metrics, schedule status, financial performance, and critical path issues. Escalation: Timely escalate critical contractual, financial, or engineering barriers to SES executive leadership for resolution. Communicates and coordinates project phases with appropriate plant and corporate departments. Provides training to plant personnel on new equipment usage. Provides leadership to department employees by directing, coaching, supporting, and delegating, as the situation requires. Qualifications: Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering degree and 5 years of relevant work experience in a related field. Previous mechanical engineering experience in cement or heavy industrial 24/7 plant operations. Strong conceptual and operational planning skills, project management skills, budgeting, and cost control methods. Reads, analyzes, and interpret technical information, structural and engineering drawings. Demonstrated leadership skills through personal standards of conduct work, work ethics, project initiation and ability to delegate. Demonstrated commissioning leadership skills. Above average computer skills. Previous experience using Microsoft Office Suites, Project, and CAD. Leadership capabilities with supervisory/managerial career aspirations. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Must be able to work as a part of a team to ensure continuous improvement in their functional area as well as the overall plant operations. Must be able to meet unscheduled responsibilities in a 24/7 operation. Must display good employability skills (attendance, job performance, attitude, willingness to work, etc.).
