As the Per Diem Aide, you will provide support, assistance with personal hygiene and household functions for an individual to be able to remain in their own home.
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide personal care and assist with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, ambulation, and medication reminder
Support household tasks, meal preparation, and accompany clients to appointments or errands as needed
Monitor and document client condition, vital signs, and incidents; maintain confidentiality and use EVV system
Ensure a safe environment, operate medical equipment properly, and respond promptly to client needs

General Summary:
The Home Care Assistant-Universal Aide is accountable for the delivery of quality home care services to the program's patients in conjunction with physician's directions, company and industry standards, and insurance guidelines as assigned by a registered nurse. BASIC PURPOSE:
The Hospitality Aide performs non-nursing, non-direct, hands on duties to enhance the quality of services provided for residents.
MAJOR WORK ACTIVITIES:
Promotes and provides diverse opportunities for meaningful pursuits, daily pleasures, recreation, exercise, friendships, social interaction, growth and learning, fun and enjoyment, personal routines and household rituals.
Answer residents call lights and always knock before entering resident room.
Deliver fresh drinking water and ice.
Serve and remove food trays.
Assist in feeding.
Read mail, and write letters for residents.
Cleans and straightens resident rooms including drawers and closets.
Make unoccupied beds and hang clean towels, wash clothes and stock gloves in the rooms.
Store or hang clean laundry items in residents' room.
Stock linen closets.
Responsible for leaving soiled utility room, linen room, and unit dining room neat and clean.
Transport residents to and from dining room and activities, beauty shop, etc.
Assist with transportation as needed and assist with wheel chair cleaning weekly on all floors.
Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by Supervisor.
Requirements
Work is performed indoors with controlled temperatures.
Exposure to some noise and stress.
Ability to work and talk to people.
Read, write and speak English.
Physical exertion required at least 80% of the time.
Intermittent lifting, bending, pushing and carrying of objects up to 20 pounds.
Continual exposure to infectious diseases.
Sufficiently mobile to push wheelchairs, carts and equipment.
Respond to call bells.
Ability to evaluate and appropriately respond to verbal and nonverbal communication from residents.
Physical job demands may be subject to possible modifications to reasonably accommodate individuals with disabilities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Licensure/ Certification: Certification not required
Experience: Require at least 3 months of experience with elderly resident. Has a desire to are for the elderly and chronically ill. Is a capable of following oral and written instructions and can write simple records and reports under supervision.
