PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: * Generic Job Functions: See Generic Job Description for Clinical Support Partner. * Essential Responsibilities and Competencies: * Demonstrates proficiency in all nuclear medicine procedures, using initiative in special positioning needs of individual patients. * Practices good radiation safety procedure pertaining to the preparation, handling, administration, and disposal of radiopharmaceuticals. (ALARA) * Performs Spectral CT exams that include IV and Oral contrast utilizing all screening and safety precautions. * Facilities Cardiology PA's with stress test to include: setting up for the exam, hooking a patient up to a 12-lead EKG, * Performs/maintains all department records pertaining to quality control, radiation monitoring and surveys, and radioactive materials handling. * Orders radiopharmaceuticals according to both prescribed schedules, and on a stat basis. * Operates all imaging and auxiliary equipment according to written procedures/protocols, demonstrating proficiency on all equipment. * Reports/records all equipment problems promptly, and initiates service calls as necessary. * Responsible for documenting pertinent clinical history and symptoms. * Participates in the utilization and support of the PACS systems. * Utilize computer systems to obtain lab values, enter exam charges, schedule patients, enter orders, access reports, etc. * Assists in the writing and revision of procedures/protocols. * Assists in evaluating and standardizing new procedures. * Maintain a working knowledge of medications used in nuclear medicine. * Responsible for the physiological monitoring and care of patients during nuclear medicine procedures. * Maintain proficiency in starting IV lines and follows proper injection procedure. * Takes on-call responsibility as scheduled and arrives within 30 minutes of notification. * Maintains a positive relationship with physicians and their staff. * Develop and maintain respectful relationships with all customers. * Transports patients as necessary, utilizing appropriate safety resources. * Provide documentation of personal credentials per department policy and maintain education record. * Other related duties as assigned.
