The starting hourly wage reflects the actual starting rate for this position. The actual hourly wage offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. **DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION**
The Robert Clewis Clinic is part of a multiagency center to provide comprehensive services to homeless and vulnerable housed people including people who use the sobering shelter in the building. This is a clinic providing low barrier access to medical, mental health, chemical dependency and case management services.
Robert Clewis Center is a low-cost medical clinic that offers the following services:
+ Abscess treatment and care
+ HIV/hepatitis testing and counseling
+ Hepatitis A and B vaccinations
+ Colds and upper respiratory infection care
+ TB screening
+ Access to Treatment
+ Reproductive Health Services
+ Narcan available
**POSITION HIGHLIGHTS**

**PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Room patients, take vital signs, and reconcile records
+ Wound care and phlebotomy
+ Perform injections
+ Prepare and clean exam rooms
+ Submit medication prior authorizations
+ Recognize symptoms of common medical illnesses and accurately report to provider
+ Act as a liaison between patient, patient's family and providers
+ Assist provider with procedures and medical exams
+ Perform point of care testing and report abnormal laboratory values
+ Assist in transporting patients as required
**REQUIREMENTS**
+ Completion of a Medical Assistant course accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) or other recognized regional or national accreditation board OR equivalent
+ Must be Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified or achieve this designation within 6-months of hire. Failure to achieve and/or maintain this designation will result in termination of employment
+ Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider CPR card
