What You'll Do:
As a Dental Assistant, you'll play a key role in creating a positive experience for every patient. Your responsibilities as a Dental Assistant include:
Preparing, sterilizing, and maintaining dental equipment and instruments
Collecting patient health histories, taking impressions and X-rays
Ensuring patient comfort during procedures
Preparing dental materials (cements, composites, impression materials, etc.)
Assisting the doctor during treatments and emergencies
Charting treatment information accurately
Delivering post-op and oral care instructions
Maintaining infection control and patient privacy
Assisting with customer service and presenting treatment plans
What We're Looking For:
High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of an accredited Dental Assisting Program or dental assistant experience preferred
Previous customer service or office experience
Proficiency or the ability to become proficient within 90 days in dental terminology and dental software for charting, treatment planning, clinical notes, etc.
Strong verbal and written communication skills

Assist provider throughout exam including complex treatment, surgery, & all operatory-related care

Review and assist patient in updating iPad medical history

Take patient blood pressure, X-rays and radiographs
Monitor oxygen levels when nitrous or IV is administered

EDUCATION
