Responsible for organizing and managing an Advisory Committee for the purpose of assessing school and community assets and needs and recommending programs; work with school administration to facilitate a positive, engaging school climate; participate in the development of relationships with external partners; develop collaborative and partnership agreements; attend assigned community group and partner meetings toward the goal of coordinating and improving services to students and families. Manage assigned program budget; purchase/order materials and supplies, field trip admission fee, and transportation expenses. May be required to assist/support other sites if necessary. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Associate's Degree or equivalent in Youth Development or related field, with a minimum of six semester hours in Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation, Camping or other related field. Associate's Degree Equivalency: 30+ semester hours of college credit plus 2 years of experience in youth development or a related field (six hours of which must be in a field related to youth development as noted above), or 6 - 30 semester hours of college credit plus 3 years of experience in youth development or a related field (six hours of which must be in a field related to youth development as noted above). Advancing Youth Development Certificate (may acquire at first opportunity). One year related work experience. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children in the field of youth development. Experience working with Kindergarten- 2nd grade students. Creativity and ability to teach science, music, arts & crafts. SPECIFIC DUTIES Design and develop a manner in which to evaluate the outreach (i.e., psychological and spiritual) services offered to clients of the Office of Assistance Ministry. Represent the office when an allegation is formalized at Professional Fitness Review meeting with Victim-Survivor. Explain office services. The primary purpose of the Prayer and Penance program is to prevent sexual abuse by the program participants and to protect the community from harm. Secondary purposes of the Prayer and Penance Program are as follows: To reduce risk by promoting healthy living on the part of program participants in the program. To prevent harm to the faith of Catholics within the Archdiocese. To protect the reputation of the priesthood from further harm by individuals in the program. The guidelines that have been established for the Program of Prayer and Penance reflect current (2009) standards for community supervision with adults who have sexually offended minors. Increasing positive activities and pro-social relationships within a supervised framework with consistent accountability is the best overall methodology for prevention of further incidents of sexual abuse and other forms of sexual offending and is the core of the program. As the knowledge base in this area continues to develop, modifications will be in order. Job Description HRDI is seeking full-time and part-time Residential Support Workers for programs in its Division for Alcohol and Substance Abuse Services and Division for Mental Health and Rehabilitative Services. All applicants must: Provides continuous awake supervision/monitoring of both clients and the facility to ensure the safety of the residents and staff Uses good clinical judgment and follows official procedures and protocol to manage medical, psychiatric, and life safety emergencies Closely monitors the clients' self-medication procedure and reports any problems to both the nurse and the Residential Leal Worker Consults with Lead Worker and immediately communicates to the Lead Worker and problems or concerns about the day-to-day operations of the facility or the clinical behavior of the clients Provides instruction to the clients and helps them to prepare and serve meals according to the residential menu Prepares client chore/laundry schedule, provides training and assistance to clients in the completion of these tasks Plans and implements structured daily living skills training activities for the clients, including fire drills and safety drills Provides supervision for clients on filed trips, outings, picnics, etc. as assigned by the Lead Worker Monitors phone usage, visitors, and building supplies to ensure the safety and security of the clients, staff, and agency property Completes and submits all required documentation in a timely, neat manner Attends residential staff meetings and supervision sessions as scheduled by the Lead Worker Secures the facility at the end of the shift, by locking windows, doors, seeing that all clients have left the building, turning off electrical appliances, etc. HRDI has a specific need for applicants who can work overnight shifts. Qualifications All applicants must: • Have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent. • Be disciplined and have good writing, organizational and interpersonal skills. • Have basic knowledge of cooking and housekeeping.
