As a BHT at Sonora, you will participate in the development and implementation of patient treatment plans by:
Providing care, close supervision, and accurate documentation of patient behavior
Maintaining a safety first environment
Developing positive relationships with patients and co-workers
Following facility policies and procedures and providing crisis intervention as necessary
Actively participating in treatment teams
Acting as a role model using appropriate de-escalation skills, active listening skills, appropriate tone and voice volume, providing a variety of positive reinforcements, maintaining proper boundaries, and promoting positive peer culture

Starting Pay: $17.00-$18.00/hour, depending on experience
Extra Pay: Enjoy shift differentials on top of base pay +$1.00/hr for evenings and an additional +$0.50/hr for weekend shifts.
What You'll Do
As a BehavioralHealthTechnician, you will:
Provide consistent monitoring and support to ensure member safety and well-being
Assist, teach, coach, and mentor members in daily living skills (hygiene, housekeeping, budgeting, shopping, community resources, activities, etc.)
Support members with self-administration of medication and maintain corresponding records
Safely transport members to appointments and community activities
Promote health and wellness activities and support recovery goals
Help plan meals and prepare well-balanced menus that meet dietary needs
Document clinical services accurately and on time within the member record
Maintain required billable hours and performance standards
Report incidents, accidents, infections/infestations, and follow required procedures
Follow agency policies, licensure standards, and training requirements
Complete other duties as needed to support program operations
Minimum Qualifications
You're a great fit if you have one of the following:
HS diploma/GED plus 2-3 years of behavioralhealth experience, OR
Associate degree plus 1-2 years of behavioralhealth experience, OR
Bachelor's degree (related or non-related) plus 1 year of behavioralhealth experience
Also required:
Experience working with multicultural and low socio-economic populations
At least 21 years old
Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card (or eligible to receive within 8 weeks of hire)
Reliable transportation, valid AZ Driver's License, and acceptable driving record
TB test clearance at hire and annually

· Respond to distressed patient in a non-threatening manner and attempt to understand the source of distress.
· Applies de-escalation techniques to help manage patient's emotions, behavior and participation in treatment and assist with seclusion and restraint when necessary.
· As part of the multidisciplinary team provide safety and increase coping skills of patient and assist in developing strategies for helping patients to be as independent as possible.
· Collaborate with other staff in working with the population of the facility to treat, rehabilitate and return patient to the community.
· Monitor behavioral improvements and reinforce these behaviors. Report changes and responses to treatment by communicating with team. Significant changes are reported to nurse immediately.
· Reinforce skills patients learn from nurses, physicians, therapist that promote improved physical and mental wellness.
· Lead or co-lead individual or group sessions as part of specific recreational or therapeutic procedures.
· May participate in rehabilitation and treatment programs as well as teach strategies to promote patient wellness and independence.

The BHT coordinates member referrals, provides case management services as needed, completes tasks that require serving the members who are enrolled in the Bridging the Gap Re-Entry /TIP Justice program; liaises with other Program staff, Program Supervisor, Director and medical records staff. The BHT delivers health and wellness and recovery-oriented services to members. The BHT participates in vital program evaluation procedures and is responsible for accurate and professional record keeping in required database platforms. This position reports to the BTG Reentry Program Supervisor.
Essential Duties:
Responsible for direct face to face community-based services to assist client's re-entering into the community from jail and prison. Ensures linkage into community services and resources
Offers in-reach into jail, prison, sober living housing and treatment programs for the purpose of engaging member into BTG Re-Entry / TIP services. Orients potential clients to the BTG Re-Entry/TIP program.
Consistently meets Service Delivery expectations including $2150 weekly productivity, Compliance, and timely filing (notes completed by midnight same day).
Provides transportation for members as appropriate and as medically necessary, and determined by the Re-Entry/ TIP team, in personal vehicle or in Terros Health provided vehicle, when available.
Ensures ongoing collaboration, including the communication of appropriate clinical information with other involved parties as appropriate. Coordinates care with a member's family, behavioral and general medical providers, community resources, and other involved supports. Assists members with connection to physical health services, including Primary Care services and medical appointment follow up.
