About the Role:

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Record employee attendance for all training sessions and enter training attendance into system
Maintain and update electronic and physical training files.
Verify accuracy of submitted rosters and sign-in sheets.
Track training completion, renewals, and certification expirations.
Generate and distribute training status and compliance reports.
Ensure confidentiality and accuracy of all records.
Support training staff with scheduled training roster management.
Update and organize training files
Track completion and renewals
Generate reports and transcripts as needed or requested
Monitor training completion across all assigned areas to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
Follow up with employees and supervisors regarding overdue, upcoming or incomplete required trainings, providing reminders and support as needed.
Prepare and report district-wide training timeliness to the direct supervisor and regional manager, highlighting areas requiring attention.
Run monthly training reports to assess current status and upcoming deadlines.
Track headcount and training participation, including per-employee completion status and attendee records across all sessions.
Support dual-platform data entry during transitions to new systems, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and readiness for migration.

The Peer Navajo Language Tutor is supervised by the Learning Center Manager. To provide guidance, support, and be knowledgeable of the Navajo Language in both spoken and written formats. The tutor will be tutoring students in Navajo Language and Navajo Studies (NIS 111 & NIS 221) courses; facilitate student learning by helping to clarify course content that requires written assignments and modeling/speaking the Navajo Language. The tutor will understand the course content; assist students with writing assignments, research, and editing of papers. This includes, but is not limited to, sentence and paragraph structures, grammar rules, argument logic, critical analyses, and citation formats.

Assist students with reviewing and understanding Navajo Language: NAV 101, 102 & 211 writing assignments, learn to organize thoughts beginning with a topic.
Conduct follow-ups with NAV and NIS instructors to understand the assignments as outlined in the Syllabi.
Be cognizant of FERPA when working with student information using referrals and scheduling.
Data & Reporting
Become familiar with campus resources, i.e., library for research platforms/datasets; compile a research-based resource to share with students to develop their NAV & NIS assignments.
Keep accurate records of tutoring sessions, both individually and in group settings; submit weekly reports to the supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience
Minimum:
Completed two or more semesters of the Navajo Language course; earned 24 or more credit hours with instructor/staff referral and recommendation in a course that demonstrated effective writing skills using the Navajo Language.
Applicants must be in good academic standing; 3.0 CGPA or higher, B-grade or higher in NAV 101, 102 & 211; NIS 111 & NIS 221.
Knowledge:
Knowledgeable of basic NAV & NIS level skills in spoken and written formats,
Knowledgeable of the Navajo Language writing processes of essays and research writings,
Knowledgeable of the APA, MLA, and other writing formats,
Knowledgeable of FERPA laws and best practices in higher education.

Summary/Objective of Position:
The Peer Navajo Language Tutor is supervised by the Learning Center Manager. To provide guidance, support, and be knowledgeable of the Navajo Language in both spoken and written formats. The tutor will be tutoring students in Navajo Language and Navajo Studies (NIS 111 & NIS 221) courses; facilitate student learning by helping to clarify course content that requires written assignments and modeling/speaking the Navajo Language. The tutor will understand the course content; assist students with writing assignments, research, and editing of papers. This includes, but is not limited to, sentence and paragraph structures, grammar rules, argument logic, critical analyses, and citation formats.

Facilitates guided discussions with students, one-to-one or group setting, re: Navajo Language course and NIS courses 111 & NIS 221 assignments without doing the work for the students.
Applies easy-to-understand instructions to assist students in understanding the Navajo Language with proper grammar, pronunciation, composition, and questions.
Facilitates guided questions to assist students in thinking critically, further helping students understand how to improve their NAV & NIS speaking and writing skills.
Guide students through the NAV & NIS writing processes - prewriting, including brainstorming & outlining, drafting, revising, proofreading, and editing.
Assist students with reviewing and understanding Navajo Language: NAV 101, 102 & 211 writing assignments, learn to organize thoughts beginning with a topic.
Conduct follow-ups with NAV and NIS instructors to understand the assignments as outlined in the Syllabi.
Be cognizant of FERPA when working with student information using referrals and scheduling.
Data & Reporting
Become familiar with campus resources, i.e., library for research platforms/datasets; compile a research-based resource to share with students to develop their NAV & NIS assignments.
Keep accurate records of tutoring sessions, both individually and in group settings; submit weekly reports to the supervisor.
Important to sign in/out for documentation of hours worked,
Assist with providing a supported learning environment for ALL students from different multicultural and diverse backgrounds, including students with disabilities,
Other assigned duties, not limited to:
Assist with Learning Center program planning in the evenings and weekends if warranted.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience
Minimum:
Completed two or more semesters of the Navajo Language course; earned 24 or more credit hours with instructor/staff referral and recommendation in a course that demonstrated effective writing skills using the Navajo Language.
Applicants must be in good academic standing; 3.0 CGPA or higher, B-grade or higher in NAV 101, 102 & 211; NIS 111 & NIS 221.
Knowledge:
Knowledgeable of basic NAV & NIS level skills in spoken and written formats,
Knowledgeable of the Navajo Language writing processes of essays and research writings,
Knowledgeable of the APA, MLA, and other writing formats,
Knowledgeable of FERPA laws and best practices in higher education.
Skills:
