We're hiring an Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) responsible for the overall maintenance and safety of our fleet within Med-Trans. This technician will be qualified to support our EC135 airframe. This is a key role to ensure our team can safely maintain and deliver timely and high-quality transportation services, care and customer service to patients.
Responsibilities
Aircraft Maintenance Technician will perform maintenance services including mechanical inspections, screening, repairs and provide regular statuses to the Lead Technician.
Manage inventory checks to ensure stock of supplies and equipment, regularly update the equipment tracking log, place replacement requests when necessary and document part expenditures.
Clearly document service paperwork and FAA information as required and adhere to policies and procedures while complying with the company's information security standards.

POSITION SUMMARY: Maintenance Tech I assists all maintenance personnel in the short term, preventative and emergency maintenance programs for the buildings, grounds and equipment at the campus. Responsibilities will include the completion of all assigned work orders and maintenance projects under the supervision of the Director of Facility Services.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Represents the campus in a positive manner while creating an environment that fosters respect and courtesy for residents and employees alike. Works within the campus programs to encourage and promote safety and the well-being of all residents and employees.

Maintains HIPAA standards and regards all medical or healthcare information pertaining to residents and employees as confidential.
Restores vacant units to “like new” condition (including but not limited to the stripping of walls and flooring, repainting surfaces, removing carpet, replacing glass and windows, patching sheetrock, cutting and replacing interior and exterior trim, hanging doors, and replacing fixtures.
Performs maintenance repairs on the equipment, buildings and grounds, as needed. This will include but is not limited to installation, modification, cleaning, and repairs of wood, metal and stone structures, appliances, utility supply lines, irrigation systems, plumbing lines and fixtures, security systems, HVAC equipment, electrical components, switches, light fixtures, safety equipment, elevators, etc.
Assists in the success of the preventative maintenance programs (hereafter known as PM) set up by the campus which will include but is not limited to PM on elevators, fire extinguishers, HVAC units, appliances, emergency generators (if applicable), and water temperatures. Logs all information in specified books, software or charts.
Assists in the installation, repair, cleaning, or modification of therapy pools, swimming pools, therapeutic baths, or any corresponding equipment. 8. Removes all trash located in the collection areas of the campus. 9. Checks shipments and deliveries from vendors.
Contacts and corresponds with vendors, contractors, associates, and corporate office team as needed.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Travels occasionally for training sessions, continuing education opportunities, emergency situations, and other company functions.
Responsible for knowledge of fire and safety procedures including those involving blood-borne pathogens.
Remains in proper uniform at all times and maintains a high standard of appearance.
Completes all work orders in a timely manner.
Maintains excellent resident and employee relations. Handles complaints and recommendations constructively.
Attends employee in-services as required.
Interacts well with marketing tours and prospective residents.

REQUIREMENTS:
A. Education
- High school graduation or GED required.

C. Skills:

Essential Job Functions
Servicing MTA accounts for testing and certification of medical gas systems.
Maintenance, repair and installation of medical gas pipeline systems.
Environmental monitoring services; including laboratory & hospital hazardous chemical agent exposure monitoring.
Perform ventilation surveys, operating room testing services.
Monitoring Indoor air quality (IAQ) and halogenated agent & N20 exposure.
Perform regular preventive maintenance on various manufacturers' pumps and compressors.
Provide thorough and accurate trouble shooting and repair of medical vacuum pumps and air compressors (1.5-25HP).
Troubleshooting 230/460VAC 3 phase motors and controls.
Diagnose problems, replace and repair parts, test and adjust.
Knowledge of control panels and ability to work inside cabinets with rated voltages of 208-460.
Use of a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment to perform duties.
Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervisor.
Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
Wear proper safety garments.
Understand operating manuals for preventative maintenance service.
Consult/assist in sales, as necessary.
Pass along leads to the respective Sales Representative when received.
May require travel to other markets to supply support to other service personnel in facilitating scheduling and completing repair/PM service work orders.
Utilize Field Aware system for job scheduling, job tracking and time reporting.

Job DescriptionDescription:
Receives and follows maintenance schedule and direction from the Director of Maintenance with the focus on providing a safe and clean environment for residents, associates and visitors. Performs routine maintenance on community grounds and parking areas by policing, sweeping, blowing, etc. as necessary
Essential Functions:
Performs upkeep of floors including carpet cleaning, deodorizing and sanitizing in a timely manner as to allow time for other duties
Strips, seals and waxes tile floors as necessary
Inspects hallways daily for needed carpet cleaning
Performs community trash removal at start of each work day
Performs all duties at a reasonable pace allowing for safety and attention to detail
Performs routine maintenance and repair throughout the community as directed to include: plumbing, replacing bulbs, check and replaces A/C filters and fuses, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, etc.
Reports equipment malfunctions or breakdowns to supervisor
Report all hazardous conditions to supervisor or appropriate manager immediately
Notifies supervisor of shortage or supplies
Ensure that all maintenance items are kept in safe area to prevent injuries to residents, associates, and visitors
Subject to recall after hours and to be on-call for weekends and holidays in the event that a maintenance emergency arises
Obtains proper authorization prior to the entry of any apartment
Reports all on-the-job injuries according to company procedure
When interacting with residents and/or family members, is mindful of the Resident's Rights to Privacy and resident confidentiality
The ability to work in a safe and alert manner
The ability to take ownership for associate's safety and the safety of the residents
Must disclose any medication that might impair associate's ability to perform the job safely or competently.

Requirements:
Qualifications/Skills/Educational Requirements:
High school diploma
One-year experience in a related field
Able to communicate effectively with all levels of management, associates, residents, family members, and outside contacts
Must know how to use a wide variety of maintenance equipment that are necessary tools of performing the job at hand
Must be patient and able to work with ill, disabled, or emotionally upset senior residents within the community
Willing to work beyond normal working hours to get a problem solved or job completed
Maintenance Technician - New Tampa Family YMCA

Under the direction of the District Property Director and the Center Executive Director, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for all annual and day-to-day property tasks as assigned that include; performing preventative/ongoing maintenance tasks, assisting in renovation projects, maintenance/general up keep of facilities and grounds. Performs all tasks, projects, and duties within assigned budgets and allocated time and in compliance with regulatory and safety guidelines.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTION:
* Completes all maintenance/project tasks as assigned (both ongoing and preventative) and maintains records in accordance with regulatory agencies and Tampa Y policies and procedures
* Coordinates with vendors and contractors as assigned
* Model, reinforce, and abide by the YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility in concert with the Tampa Y code of conduct.
* Understands that the customer is our primary focus prioritizing safety while promoting a welcome, friendly, and engaging environment.
* Assists in development of the property budget supporting the preventative and annual maintenance plans
* Purchases equipment and supplies as assigned and maintains/records inventory in compliance with Tampa Y policies and procedures
* Performs ongoing maintenance and property checks (audits) - continually inspecting for safety, cleanliness, and member/program participant comfort.
* Supports all Tampa Y team members as necessary
* Maintains a neat and well-groomed personal appearance - and always in compliance with dress codes
* Organizes and maintains all work areas, storage facilities, closets in neat and safe fashion.
* As needed, addresses all general cleaning needs to ensure member comfort and safety.
* All other duties, tasks, projects, training, and meetings as assigned.
Safety and Risk Management
* Adhere to all Federal, State, and local safety regulations, as well as all YMCA policies and procedures related to the safety, health, and welfare of members, participants, guests, and staff.
* Adhere to all training requirements and ensure implementation in addition to ensuring proper reporting of all incidents/accidents according to risk management procedures.
* Responsible for the security of all company owned tools, equipment, vehicles, building, inventory, and security of the buildings.
* Maintain proper records, including certifications, meetings and trainings.
* Maintain an emphasis on safety in all areas of responsibility as they relate to members and staff.
* Adhere to job specific abuse risk management responsibilities such as ensuring unused rooms and closets remain locked; routinely monitor high-risk locations (locker-rooms and bathrooms), etc.
* Contribute to creating and maintaining a safe, positive, and respectful environment for members, guests, and staff.
* Promptly report any suspicious or inappropriate behavior, as well as policy violations, following established association procedures.
Education/ Experience Required:
* High School/ GED required
* 6 months of demonstrated experience supporting maintenance / property management in busy high people traffic industries (schools, theme parks, public institutions) and/or recreational facilities
* Basic working knowledge of standard mechanical systems (plumbing, electrical, heating / cooling, painting, custodial)
* Experience working in a team environment
* Must have reliable form of transportation - Maintenance Technicians work across multiple locations. The Y reimburses associates for mileage.
* A valid driver's license and driving record that meets our insurance requirements
* Ability to work effectively with all levels of Y team members, volunteers, and team members
* Ability to organize work efficiently and apply technical principals to solve practical problems in a timely manner.
* Works well under pressure, communicates well with others and provides courteous service.
* Ability to respond to safety and emergency situations, as well as diagnose, trouble-shoot, and locate defects in a wide variety of equipment.
* Read and interpret operating manuals, correspondence, and prepare written and oral reports.
* Familiarity with personal computers and mobile technology is desired. Background with facility management software (e.g. Facility Dude, Asset Essentials, etc.), preferred.
Certifications/Trainings Required:
* Must obtain within 30 days of employment and maintain current certifications in CPR/ First Aid (Tampa YMCA will pay for)
* Maintain other required certifications as stated in the training matrix.
