We are looking for a Tax Manager to join our Woodbury office. As a Tax Manager, you will be responsible for providing excellent client service. Our firm provides excellent compensation, benefits, wellness initiatives, and a strong career path for high performing professionals.
NOTE: This is a hybrid position.
Responsibilities:
Review tax projections, tax workpapers and tax returns
Possess strong corporate tax knowledge and experience in S Corps, Partnerships, etc.
Provide effective consulting, planning and compliance for your clients
Oversee and manage the day to day needs of your clients and tax return process including identification and resolution of tax issues
Perform tax research to resolve issues
Maintain strong relationships with a highly proactive approach to serving clients
Coordinates with Partner to ensure timeliness and effective communication for proper planning of project
Coaching, mentoring and assisting staff so they can develop and assist in the growth of the tax practice
Maintaining knowledge of new tax issues and general business trends that affect the client
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting required, Masters in Taxation is preferred, CPA preferred
7+ years of progressive public accounting experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Capable of managing multiple client engagements
A track record of building and sustaining client relationships and high quality client service
Outstanding analytical, organizational and project management skills
Proficient with CCH Axcess, Caseware, Quickbooks, CCH Intelliconnect, RIA Checkpoint, GoFileRoom and Microsoft Office

Responsible for research and analysis of various federal income tax issues, including real estate tax, partnerships, REITs, S corporations, C corporations, timing issues and accounting methods, and other matters
Transactional analysis and tax structuring related to the acquisition, restructuring, and disposition of real estate assets in joint venture, fund and REIT/blocker structures
Manage REIT tax structuring and due diligence projects for real estate acquisition transactions
Consult and advise on like-kind exchanges and reverse like-kind exchanges focusing on tax implications with respect to boot and liabilities
Assist with the review of fund documents, joint venture/lower-tier partnership agreements and the tax consequences of the economic agreements (tax allocations, distribution preferences, etc.)
Draft emails and memos
Review of tax projections, tax workpapers and tax returns for clients in the real estate industry including partnerships and REITs
Oversee and manage the tax return process including identification and resolution of tax issues
Monitor and review legislative and administrative updates impacting real estate, REITs, real estate private equity, and debt fund clients, including development of related internal and external content
Draft Firm-wide alerts on current developments in federal income tax
Assist with Firm-wide trainings in federal income tax
Basic Qualifications:
4 + years of progressive federal income tax consulting and advisory experience (large law firm, large accounting firm, or IRS preferred)
J.D. and Tax LL.M.
Experience working with partnership and REIT accounting and tax concepts
Proficiency with tax research databases (such as Bloomberg BNA and RIA Checkpoint)

Anchin's Private Client Group is looking for a Tax Manager who will be responsible for providing expert tax advice and services to high-net-worth individuals and family offices. This role will include oversight, management, and detailed review of complex income tax filings for individuals, trusts, family investment partnerships, gift, and estate tax returns, interpreting tax law changes, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Build and maintain strong relationships with high-net-worth clients.
Review complex tax filings for individuals, trusts, family investment partnerships, private foundations, estates and gift taxes.
Understand clients' financial goals, assets, and investment portfolios.
Provide personalized tax planning and advisory services tailored to individual client needs.
Communicate complex tax concepts in an understandable manner to clients.
Conduct in-depth analysis of clients' financial situations to identify tax planning opportunities.
Develop and implement tax-efficient strategies to minimize clients' tax liabilities.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws and regulations.
Supervise and mentor junior tax staff.
Provide guidance, training, and support to team members.

Stay updated on changes in tax laws, regulations, and industry trends.
Conduct research on specific tax issues and provide recommendations to clients.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is a plus.
Experience:
5 + years of experience in tax consulting, preferably with a focus on high-net-worth clients.
Strong knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
