Works with crew-leader and supervisor to eliminate potential hazards, liability exposures, problem areas, inquiries of the general public, and the status of work activities. Conducts daily inspections and preventative maintenance measures of vehicles, equipment, and tools such as checking fluid levels, cleaning, checking safe and proper operation, and servicing. Adheres to departmental, personnel and safety rules and regulations. Helps set up proper work zones using cones and barricades to ensure public safety at all times. Creates and/or updates manual or online work order system as directed by Crew Leader or supervisor. Candidate will be required to be on-call during certain periods including Winter Operation activities and any event requiring Essential Personnel such as street sanding or brining and respond to work orders and requests after hours and on weekends when on-call.
