Equipment Operator II - Sanitation Department The City of Wilmington, Ohio, is seeking a full-time Equipment Operator II within the Sanitation Department. Under the supervision of the Sanitation Crew Leader, the Equipment Operator II operates various equipment for the daily operation of the Landfill in accordance with the City of Wilmington Ordinances, Personnel Policies, OSHA safety laws, and any other State and Federal authority. Under general supervision, controls the transferring, loading, and compacting of trash, recyclables, yard waste and other materials into semi-tractor trailers for transport to landfills in an efficient and safe manner. Summary of Job Duties Safely operates transfer station equipment (e.g. rubber tired front loaders, wheeled excavator, stationary excavator, skid steers/bobcat, roll-off truck, backhoe, street sweepers, snowplow, compactors, grinder) in high-traffic areas.
