APPLY HERE: ****************************************************************** Procurement Services is establishing a highly collaborative, and effective advisory body that will be integrated into Procurement Services strategic planning and equity work. The member body will serve to advise on procurement equity strategy, policy development, and emergent initiatives and serve as a trusted partner to instill confidence that voices of the local contracting community are represented in City decisions involving public contracting and workforce development.
* Committee activities include:
* Collaborate with Procurement to prioritize work plan items, supports or recommends identification for advancement. Involves meetings with Procurement Leadership to assess the plan, assign priority, review resources available to commit to the plan; or,
* Support Procurement's Strategic Plan. Roadmap guides our focus. Involves Procurement informing the Advisory Body of key projects in progress and upcoming. Sharing information and available data. Procurement provides guidance to the Advisory Body members on their role in supporting that work. Boundaries can also be set; and,
* Assist Procurement in responding to ad-hoc items. Gives the City room to be responsive.

Time Commitment
* Advisory Body Monthly meetings: 2 hours, 12x per year = 24 hours

* Independent meeting preparation: 1-2 hours before each meeting = 12-24 hours/year
* Special meetings/events: 2-4 hours/year
* Members are involved for a duration of2-year terms,or no more than 4 consecutive years.
* The anticipated time commitment per week/month is 50-64 hours per year (approximately 1-1.2 hours per week average).
* We provide interpreters who will translate the conversation in your language during the meeting. Please ask for an interpreter at least a week in advance of the meeting so we have enough time to make arrangements.
* You may need to read and write in your language. Verbal and written translations are performed by outside organizations. The dialects may be different than your home region and may be different on each document.
* We try to translate the written materials you ask for, but we may not be able to provide translation on all meeting documents.

The Portland Children's Levy seeks new Community Council Members! APPLY HERE: ****************************************************************** The Portland Children's Levy (PCL) Community Council advises staff and the Allocation Committee on PCL policies and processes, including funding, grant and Levy performance, and community engagement plans and practices. After 3 years of focus on funding processes and grant-making, the Community Council will turn its attention to reviewing policies and practices used to assess Levy and grant performance. Council activities for this next term include:
* Providing input about how PCL measures and demonstrates performance,
* Advising staff on questions of grant performance management,
* Providing guidance on criteria used to determine grant renewal decisions, and
* Providing input on future community engagement processes.
The Community Council was formed as a response to feedback received during PCL's 2018 community engagement process. The Community Council launched in 2023 and since its inception:
* Identified goals for community engagement, priority topics for community input, and priority communities to engage for large and small grants funding processes, and
* Shaped the large grants funding process, including: the application and scoring criteria, grant review process, funding priorities (which determine the types of services the Levy funds), funding recommendations, and lessons learned for future grant-making.
* The Community Council is currently shaping the small grants funding process. They provided input on the application, will be scoring the video component of the application, and will be making funding recommendations to the Allocation Committee.
Currently, 7 members are continuing their terms on the Community Council.PCL is looking to recruit 8 community members with the intention of appointing 6 this summer and inviting 2 to standby and fill any seats that open through this next term.

CBHH Care Coordinator - Children's Behavioral Health Home

The CBHH Care Coordinator is a direct service staff position for our Children's Behavioral Health Home (CBHH). This position contributes to program outcomes through the provision of care coordination for CBHH members supporting a client oriented, integrated health service that strives to improve health outcomes, cost effectiveness, and enhanced consumer engagement. Work is conducted at members' homes, at providers' offices, at TOA locations and in other community settings. Care Coordinators will collect data, participate in program initiatives, attend team meetings, coordinate service teams for each member, use information to improve health outcomes and complete documentation in a timely fashion. Work is performed, reviewed, and evaluated under the Director through staff meetings and individual supervision.
The Care Coordinator:
Develops a plan of care for each individual by creating and maintaining a therapeutic relationship with CBHH members (clients) to enhance wellness and increase community inclusion.
Identifies and obtains community resources (family members, medical providers, social workers, educators, etc.).
Establishes a plan of care through a client-centered approach that encompasses an integrated care approach, to bridge the gap between medical care and mental health care.
Advances the CBHH member's care plan by building an effective service team of professionals and natural supports around each CBHH members.
Meets program expectations for productivity and caseload sizes.
Provides timely and accurate documentation that reflects clinical work accomplished with client, ensuring work and documentation meets all licensing and contracting expectations.
Schedule: This is a full-time, 40 hour/week position. Typically, M-F daytime hours but schedule varies with client needs. Some evenings and weekends may be required.
Location: Office is located in South Portland, but this is client-facing work in the Bridgton/ Lakes Region communtities. Much of the work is done in the field with some potential remote work ability.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's in Social Work preferred or a Bachelor's Degree in a related field such as psychology, social services, counseling, rehabilitation, or nursing.
At least one year of relevant experience working in human services with families and children required, preferably within the mental health system.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively required.
Ability to work flexible hours including evenings required.
Must be able to meet physical requirements associated with family visitation, e.g. climb stairs, etc.
Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office and email is required.
Contracts that have Rider D: Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background, child protective service check & sex offender check.
Must not be on the state or federal suspension and disbarment list.
Must be able to exert moderate physical effort with occasional standing, walking, reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, typing and frequently lift and carry small children or material weighing up to 25 pounds.
Driving may be necessary to attend meetings and trainings and for the occasional need to meet with clients offsite and within the program service area. This may include transportation of clients or driving to agency location to complete work. A good driving record is required.

The Burnside Recovery Center will offer 3.7 Level of Care services, focusing on stabilization and support for clients with substance use disorders as their primary diagnosis, along with co-occurring mental health conditions. Our integrated, person-centered care model meets clients and their families where they are, combining therapy, mental health services, medical care, and community-based management into one coordinated pathway to recovery. With expedited access to primary care, outpatient substance use disorder services, and recovery-supportive housing, our holistic approach empowers clients to achieve long-term success.
Treatment Assistants are responsible for providing care and close intensive supervision to all patients in a 24-hour residential treatment facility. General responsibilities include: providing patient-centered care, using de-escalation skills, observing and reporting behaviors and supporting a healthy and safe milieu environment, providing high quality customer service, and other duties as needed. This position works closely with the Milieu Supervisor, counselors, and other staff to develop and implement a supportive environment for patients.
Schedule: On-call shifts available for day, swing and overnight shifts.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School or GED.

Have, or able to obtain, Adult CPR Certification AND First Aid Certification prior to start date.
Knowledge of Twelve-Step Recovery process.
Must meet CCC privileging requirements as required by FTCA.

Letty Owings Center (LOC) has helped young mothers to become sober, healthy and hopeful about the future. Recovery is more complex during pregnancy and while raising young children, we offer a safe, inclusive environment for women to live with their children while in treatment for substance use disorders. Our residents often are able to stay with their children, who might otherwise be placed in foster care.
Treatment Assistants are responsible for providing care and close intensive supervision to all clients and their children in a 24-hour treatment facility. General responsibilities include: providing client-centered care, using de-escalation skills, observing and reporting behaviors and supporting a healthy and safe milieu environment, providing high quality customer service, and other duties as needed. This position works closely with the Milieu Supervisor, counselors, and other staff to develop and implement a supportive environment for LOC clients.
Shift Times: 6:30am - 3:00pm, 2:30pm - 11:00pm and 10:30pm - 7:00am
Shift Requirements: For the first 2 months, each on-call Treatment Assistant must work at least 4 shifts a month. Once fully trained, it can go down to 1 shift a month.
Bonus Eligibility: On-calls can receive a $250 bonus for working 8 overnight shifts in a 3 month period or working 25 shifts (Day, Swing or Overnight) in a 6 month period.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School or GED.
A minimum of two years work or volunteer experience in related field required (i.e., shelter, residential or day treatment, counseling, substance abuse treatment, etc.).
Must possess a current driver's license, pass a DMV background check and be designated an “acceptable” driver as outlined in Central City Concern's Fleet Safety Policy. Must pass an initial driver training within 60 days of being an approved driver and continued recertification training.
Prior experience working with at-risk women preferred.
Knowledge of Twelve-Step Recovery process.

Exposure to trash and potential biohazards.
Occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions.
Required to work outside of normal business hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Position & Schedule: Volunteer Firefighter responds to calls 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Must be able to drill on Wednesday evenings throughout the year.
Position Summary: The volunteer firefighter position is a position used to help with day-to-day operations and response throughout the year.
DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES, AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:The following examples of duties and responsibilities do not encompass all job requirements:
Responds to the Fire Station when paged for fire alarms and rides on the fire apparatus to emergency incidents.
Enters burning buildings with hose lines as a team member.
Operates nozzles and applies water stream on fires.
Renders first aid and assists Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT) with the delivery of Basic Life Support.
Attends drill and training sessions (must attend a minimum of two (2) Wednesday drills per month).
Raises, lowers, and climbs ladders.
Makes forcible entry into buildings when necessary.
Performs ventilation procedures to drive out smoke, gas, and heat.
Carries and operates a variety of fire extinguishers.
Assists in operations to extinguish and overhaul fires.
Assists in the repair, maintenance, inspection and testing of vehicles and equipment.
Assists in salvage and cleanup operations.
Assists in the maintenance of clean and orderly conditions in and about Seaside's fire station.
Assists in fire investigations.
Keeps informed about the latest fire safety developments.
Studies fire department rules, policies, and procedures.
Participates in public education programs.
Participates in department fund raising activities
Participates in department training activities.
Assists in the clean-up and control of hazardous materials spills and releases.
Assists in the technical rescue operations of the department.
Performs all other related duties as required/assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Must reside in the Seaside Fire & Rescue area of response or work within the district and able to respond to calls.
All applicants must undergo a background check. Firefighters must not have a criminal background that would make them unable to become DPSST certified.
Must be 17 years of age to enter the Cadet Program, and 18 years of age to become a firefighter.
Must possess a valid Oregon Driver License upon hire.
Must have an insurable driving record.
Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol screen (the test includes marijuana) prior to starting.
All new firefighters must pass a physical ability test.
Applicant must be drug free and be willing to submit to drug testing at all times.
Tobacco use is strongly discouraged.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is performed primarily in office, vehicles, and outdoor settings, in all weather conditions, including temperature extremes, during day and night shifts.
Work is often performed in emergency and stressful situations.
Employee is exposed to hearing alarms and hazards associated with fighting fires and rendering emergency medical assistance, including smoke, noxious odors, fumes, liquid chemicals, solvents and oils.
Occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in high, precarious places.
Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and vibration.
Noise levels are usually quiet in office settings, and loud at construction and emergency scenes.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS NECESSARY TO PERFORM TASKS:
Frequently required to sit; talk or hear; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
