Lateral Transfer hires from outside of Iowa will be required to obtain an Iowa Peace Officer certificate within 9 months of being hired by the Marion Police Department by meeting all the requirements as detailed under 501 IAC 3.8 for Iowa certification through exam. High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred. Valid Iowa driver's license required.
