What will a Lube Technician do? Identifies mechanical problems, either visually or with computer diagnostic equipment. Performs tests on specific parts and systems to confirm proper mechanical function; ensures that all critical parts are examined. Performs routine and preventive maintenance, including oil changes and tune-ups. Repairs or replaces malfunctioning parts and systems, such as brake pads, belts, water pumps, transmissions, and other mechanical parts. Performs further tests, which may include test driving the vehicle, to ensure repairs are completed correctly. Perform oil changes to manufacturer specifications. Top off other fluids, including brake, power steering and windshield wiper fluid. Inspecting the engine block and underbody for leaks and potential issues. Checking tire pressure and filling tires with air as needed to manufacturer specifications. Installing new car parts, such as air filters, oil filters, windshield wipers and batteries. Lubricating moving parts as necessary, including those in the engine and wheel bearings and ensuring the engine is kept clean throughout servicing. Diagnosing existing issues and consulting with lead mechanics on the team to address the vehicles' issues. Creating detailed service reports based on inspection findings and document them for customer review. Verify completed maintenance and/or repairs prior to releasing the vehicle to the customer. Complete continuing education program as directed by the company. Maintains compliance with all OSHA safety standards and procedures. ROLE STATEMENT: The Shop Mechanic will be a member of the Repair and Maintenance department responsible for the repair and maintenance of hydraulic fracturing and cementing equipment (including trucks, frac pumps, blenders, hydration units, and cement pumps) using hand and/or power tools and following oral and written work orders. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY RESULT AREAS * You will perform routine on-site installation, preventative maintenance, routine repair of electronic and electromechanical equipment and products. You will ensure system performance of communications equipment delivers the highest standard of service to our customers and perform level 1 maintenance restoral actions and well as provide technical support at an intermediate level in 24x7 shift. * * COMPETENCIES * Can you test and successfully turn-up new services by performing installation and configuration of equipment, associated wiring/cabling and administrative requirements as directed by senior members of the Teleport Operations Team. * You perform basic preventative/periodic maintenance checks of ground station equipment and associated sub-systems. * You provide routine level 1 maintenance that includes switching of redundant equipment, performing power reset, and verification of equipment configuration. * Expand your knowledge while participating in training in some level 2 maintenance (removal, replacement and configuration of equipment). * You perform basic components of emergency restoral procedures for ground station equipment like antennas, up- and downlink systems as well as baseband and video equipment. You will monitor the conditions of commercial services and terrestrial facilities, including the status of system alarms, station plant and facility subsystems while working with state-of-the-art monitoring systems and test equipment. You investigate and report any equipment deficiencies related to reliability, or efficiency for service operations. You escalate open issues to senior technician or more senior operations staff. You will prepare documentation, reports and updates for any service status change, maintenance and fault/repair/restoral. * QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE * Vocational training or equivalent technical education, ideally in the field of Electronic Communications. * 1 to 3 years of relevant experience. * Must be able to work in a 24x7 shift environment (days/nights) and be available for on-call/call-in responsibilities. * Basic working knowledge of Satellite Earth Station technologies relating to Teleport Operations. * General knowledge of ancillary plant systems such as HVAC, UPS, electrical switchgear and generating systems. * Capable of working on various ground station communications systems, performs replacement of major assemblies. * General understanding of RF theory and basic electronics. * Ability to determine proper methods of testing equipment and RF/IF systems chains. * Interest in learning new technologies and services, mainly related to Satellite Communications and Teleport Operations. * Good organizational, multi-tasking and team player skills. * Fluency in English. * Good customer service skills. * General PC skills and proficiency in use of "Office Suite" software. * This role is subject to ITAR/EAR; candidates must be a US Person (this includes US Citizen, Permanent Resident or Protected Individual such as an asylee or refugee). It would be nice if you had: * General understanding of antenna drive-systems, high power amplifiers, Up/Down converters, fiber optic sub-systems, baseband equipment consisting of modems, multiplexers, broadband, IP technologies and video technologies/systems. * General working knowledge of standard test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, frequency counters, power meters, synthesized generators, oscilloscopes, multimeters, bit error rate test sets. KEY DELIVERABLES * You will monitor the conditions of Telemetry, Tracking and Command, commercial services and terrestrial facilities, including the status of system alarms, station plant and facility subsystems while working with state-of-the-art monitoring systems and test equipment. * You will support the following equipment as directed by other Operational Centers; IP and Baseband equipment (modems, multiplexers, DVB and Broadband technology platforms) and video systems. It is expected that, on occasion, the O&M Technician will be called into work, on a weekend or previously scheduled time off, at night or on a holiday, to perform troubleshooting and repairs. Responsibilities: Troubleshoot, maintain, service, and repair residential solar systems and associated equipment to ensure 100% customer satisfaction. Interact with customers and coworkers at a professional level, able to work both independently and as part of a multi-tasking team. Perform remote on site customer services, including installing, commissioning, troubleshooting and repairing of residential solar systems and related equipment. Calibrate and coordinate equipment according to precise specifications. Provide complete and thorough documentation and reports upon completion of each assigned job. Perform field service projects while maintaining safety standards at all times. Carry out on site root cause analysis on system failures. Act as technical liaison between SunSystem Technology Residential Field Services and client. Educational, professional and/or other requirements: 2+ years of experience in solar field operations (installations/service). Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently. Flexibility to shifting priorities and changing environments. Motivated, responsible, accountable, and punctual are must have traits. Knowledge and ability to use basic hand and electrical tools. AC/DC Power Conversion and Control experience. Knowledge of Electrical Theory and Codes. Ability to work at heights and rooftops. Ability to lift and move objects up to 70lbs. Ability to travel up to 70%, some nights and weekends may be required. Clean driving record. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot electrical systems.
