This role is critical to the overall functioning and organization of Cleveland Clinic. A caregiver in this position works days from 7:00AM - 3:30PM. This is a fully remote position. A caregiver who excels in this role will: * Ensure accountabilities for all services performed and compliance with billing and internal standards is maintained. * Identify opportunities and efficiencies in business office functions and operations. * Manage patient accounts receivable and conducts denial analysis. * Monitor departmental accounts receivable to achieve appropriate reimbursement percentages and maintain financial stability within the department. * Analyze accounts receivable to identify inequities in payment. * Collaborate with CCF contract management for resolution of payment issues. * Conduct revenue-reporting analysis of costs associated with performing examinations and surgical/medical procedures and recommends fee modifications. * Maintain departmental charge master files and perform ongoing reviews of professional and technical charges per compliance guidelines. * Administer responsibilities associated with departmental expansion. * Assist in practice startup, new service lines and affiliate programs to ensure corporate compliance adherence to capture appropriate revenue. * Complete finance accounting and maps revenue of billable services. * Conduct research analysis, IDE compliance and billing follow up. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: * High School Diploma/GED * Computer literacy with Microsoft office products with an emphasis on spreadsheets and word processing applications * Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy/physiology * Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Coding Specialist Physician (CCS-P), Registered Health Information Technologist (RHIT), Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Certified Coding Associate (CCA) by American Health Information Management Certification (AHIMA) * Four years of extensive CPT and ICD 9 CM coding and medical, billing and reimbursement experience * Understanding of third party and government payer regulations * Experience providing education and trend analysis related to revenue and reimbursement Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities. Breast Imaging Specialists provide mammography screenings, diagnostic and interventional procedures, and patient care services at defined levels to patients. They explain the procedure to patients, position and immobilize the patient's breast in the unit, and observe the scanning process. This involves monitoring the video display of the area being scanned and adjusting the density or contrast to improve picture quality. Breast Imaging Specialists then review and evaluate the film or image recording plate to determine if the images are satisfactory for diagnostic purposes. Throughout this whole process, they use radiation safety measures and protection devices to comply with government regulations and to ensure the safety of patients and staff. By taking on this role, you will have a direct impact on patients by providing a good experience to them during their exam. **A caregiver in this position works days from 7:30AM - 4:00PM or 8:00AM - 4:30PM.** A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Review mammography/ultrasound requisition and computer exam forms to determine the type of exam required. + Accurately position patients, determine the exposure factors and operate mammography and ultrasound equipment according to established procedures to obtain a high-quality image. + Review processed images to determine quality and the need for additional images. + Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment and the exam to ensure understanding and cooperation. + Ensure patients' safety and comfort during and after the exam. + Acquire, archive, transmit and print images via CAD and PACS. + Complete after-hours transmission of images and appropriate paperwork. + Report any malfunctions to help desk and PACS Administrator. + Processes billing via RIS. + Assist with all policies and procedures required by local, state, and federal law, and with compliance or credentialing bodies (ACR, MQSA, Medicare, Medicaid, FDA, etc.). + Assist with instrument calibration and records to ensure compliance with quality assurance requirements. + Perform equipment checks to ensure proper function of and notify clinical engineering of any equipment malfunctions. + Ensure exam rooms are adequately supplied with linen and related medical supplies. + Provide teaching and mentoring to new hires and students.
