SUMMARY: The Minnesota Vikings are seeking Part-Time Youth Football Development Coaches who will assist in the execution of youth and high school football initiatives. The ideal candidate will be prepared to deal with the fast-paced nature of the National Football League while becoming an effective team player within the Vikings Youth and High School Football Department. This position will provide the candidate with opportunities for professional development as well as the tools needed to be successful in coaching, including USA Football coaching certification. Candidates with little to no experience in coaching but with a desire to learn are encouraged to apply.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist with coaching all Vikings Youth Football Initiatives, including Vikings Summer Camps, Training Camp Clinics, Girls Football Academy, Vikings of Tomorrow, Vikings Kids Club clinics, and miscellaneous youth football events.
Provide coaching assistance for Vikings High School Football Initiatives, including Gatorade Prep Elite, Nike 11-ON, and more.
Assist in the growth and participation of youth and high school football throughout the region.
Represent the Minnesota Vikings in a professional manner during all youth and high school football events.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Must be a positive team player with strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Previous experience and demonstrated passion for working with youth ages 6-18 is preferred
Frequent availability during summer weekdays required
Must be available for at least half of the camps in June. Camps will typically be on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with a few events occurring on Saturdays.
Must be available for at least half of the camps and events in July, also frequently during the weekdays.
Local and regional travel will be required for the implementation of youth and high school football events and programming
Previous coaching or playing experience is a plus
Current or incoming collegiate football athletes are not eligible to apply due to NCAA regulations
Employment will be dependent on a successful background check
Employment will be dependent on the successful completion of USA Football's certification course (provided by the Vikings)
May be asked to operate and drive a vehicle for long distances
Clean driving record required for anyone driving company or rented vehicles

Program hours are Monday through Thursday, 6:30am-8:00am and 3:20pm-5:00pm. Occasional Friday and Saturday hours may be required. Hours may fluctuate based on athletic season. * Actively coach off-season and in-season workouts, as well as the middle school program.
* Work with the head coach to design and implement programming for off-season athletes and in-season teams.
* Maintain high standards for the care and respect of the training spaces.
* Know, understand, and implement proper form and technique for strength training exercises as well as mobility, speed development and agility/change of direction.
* Maintain self-control at all times. The weight room is an educational space and conduct should align with educational standards.
