As an Official, you will enforce rules, cultivate a positive culture, and act as an on-court coach, advocating for our programs. Your contribution directly impacts players, coaches, and spectators, making each game day a memorable experience. Responsibilities Thoroughly understand and enforce the i9 Sports rulebook, ensuring a fun, educational, and safe environment for all players. Teach and demonstrate core concepts, including sportsmanship values. Set up and break down game/practice field equipment. Keep time and score during the game, managing an age-appropriate level of instruction and competition. Consistently demonstrate a positive attitude and provide superior customer service. Assist volunteer coaches during practice sessions, conducting drills, and answering any questions they may have. Qualifications/Requirements Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with players, coaches, and spectators. Reliable transportation to and from the workplace. Minimum of 2 years of sport-specific officiating, playing, or coaching experience. Highly motivated self-starter who can work independently and solve problems. Demonstrated awareness and ability to take charge of any situation to ensure player safety. Positive attitude and strong ability to build professional relationships. Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including weekends and some evenings, for the full duration of the season (approximately 7 weeks). Must have a smartphone with internet capability.
