Our Senseis are the lifeblood of our Code Ninjas center. This individual oversees the day-to-day coaching and student engagement. Are you experienced in working with children? Do you enjoy teaching and building problem solving skills in young engineering minds? Have you mentored youth? This could be the role for you. Responsibilities: Training - go through the curriculum and learn it from CodeCombat, Scratch, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, to Unity3D Create a positive and safe environment in which students can grow. Work with kids age 5 to 14 to determine skill sets. Provide feedback to parents after working with student who is on a Game Building Session. Follow opening/closing duties daily. Clean dojo and bathrooms throughout the day to ensure cleanliness is kept up to corporate standards Qualifications: Working history with children ages 6 and up (mentoring, coaching and tutoring etc.) Experience working with the general public Experience in teaching, mentoring or child care Works well with others; collaborates Knowledgeable about coding and technology; or sharp enough to quickly pick up the basic concepts Must be fun to work with and like working in fast paced environments where requirements can change frequently Job Type: Part-time Pay: $16 per hour COVID-19 considerations: All our families, students and staffs are required to wears a mask at all time, curbside pickup available. Highland Hospital delivers approximately 3000 babies per year and has historically had an impressively low 20% Cesarean rate. Our longstanding Surgical Obstetrics fellowship is expanding from 2 to 4 fellows per year with a new emphasis on training physicians for rural practice funded by our recent HRSA grant. This one-year faculty appointment is designed to train Family Medicine physicians high-risk obstetrics, surgical assisting, and management of common newborn conditions. You will be trained in rural health care, prenatal care, obstetric ultrasound, newborn resuscitation and stabilization, care of newborns in the Special Care Nursery, and care of high-risk obstetrical conditions. in high risk/surgical obstetrics and management of common newborn conditions.     Job Type: Adjunct Department: Mary Karl College of Workforce & Continuing Education A High School Diploma or GED A valid construction license Five (5) years experience in a construction related field Preferred Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree in a related field from an accredited educational institution Two (2) years of teaching experience Application Deadline: Applications will be accepted on a continuous basis and remain active for one (1) year. Please Note: Adjunct positions are part-time, temporary assignments for no more than one (1) semester at a time. Opportunities are filled based on student enrollment and the instructional needs of the College. Key Responsibilities: Teach courses in accordance with college and departmental policies and procedures, as well as Basic Course Information sheets. Prepare and submit timely grade reports and other reports on student performance as scheduled or required. Organize class activities and assignments, relating them to the overall learning outcomes of the course. Provide input and work with other faculty and staff to review, produce and/ or select course-related materials. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Extensive knowledge of the subject area(s) in which the individual is responsible for instruction. Knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of effective communication and of effective instruction. Knowledge and understanding of the characteristics and challenges of community college students. Knowledge and understanding of principles of curriculum development.
