Commitments :
Audit engagements for financial industry clients, specifically mutual funds, exchange-traded funds, close-end funds, and collective investment trusts
Assume full responsibility for planning, supervising, and completing projects
Managing day-to-day client relationships
Understand engagement partner expectations of the engagement and monitor deadlines and deliverables
Balance and effectively deliver on multiple projects under restrictive time constraints
Develop an understanding of client's business and industry and routinely seek information from the client regarding their needs and concerns
Recognize opportunities to provide additional services and opportunities to be innovative in serving existing clients
Who You Are
Required:
Bachelor's degree required
Experience working on investment-based clients (Mutual Funds, Hedge Funds, Fund of Funds) is preferred
4-6 years of progressive audit experience in public accounting
CPA license required

Oversee billing, budgeting, and WIP management for assigned engagements.
Develop trusted, long-term client relationships built on proactive communication and exceptional service delivery.
Team Leadership
Lead, coach, and mentor junior and senior staff to help them grow technically and professionally.
Promote a culture of teamwork, open communication, and continuous improvement within the pod.
Contribute to the development of young leaders through active involvement in training and mentoring programs.
Support process improvements and knowledge sharing across the broader Asset Management Tax team.
Demonstrate forward thinking, innovation, and accountability in all aspects of leadership.
Who You Are
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field required.
CPA license or progress toward CPA strongly preferred.
5+ years of progressive public accounting experience, with a focus on private fund taxation (private equity, hedge, or real estate funds).
Proven experience managing client relationships and engagement teams.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex tax concepts.
Strong leadership, project management, and organizational skills.
Initiative to learn, challenge the status quo, and operate effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Adobe) and familiarity with tax preparation software.
Preferred Experience
Experience reviewing complex partnership structures and multi-tiered entities.
Familiarity with fund-level and investor-level allocations and related reporting.
Knowledge of tax implications related to carried interest, incentive allocations, and fund distribution waterfalls.
Demonstrated ability to identify tax planning opportunities and contribute to strategic client discussions.

As a Manager on our Closely Held Tax team, you'll manage tax planning and compliance for closely held businesses, guide clients through complex transactions, and lead teams to success. You'll have the opportunity to build strong relationships with clients while fostering a culture of growth, collaboration, and excellence.
Tax Strategy & Compliance:
Calculate tax effects of transactions, conduct technical tax research, and manage tax partner expectations
Handle billing/WIP management
Review the tax returns and manage tax workflow
Client Experience:
Oversee overall client experiences including deadline management/client expectations
Stay up to date on current tax laws, regulatory changes, and industry best practices to provide the most accurate strategic advice to clients
Build and maintain strong relationships with high net worth clients, ensuring ongoing satisfaction and confidence in your services
Team Leadership:
Coordinate multiple engagement teams' schedules and deadlines
Operate in a dynamic environment, coach staff/seniors/managers, and share your knowledge and experience with the entire team

Who You Are
Required:
Bachelor's Degree Required
CPA or JD preferred
5+ years of progressive experience at a public accounting firm
Solid understating of challenges related to corporation and partnership returns.
A practical understanding of tax credits and incentives
Proficiency in juggling multiple priorities while managing internal and external stakeholders
Enthusiasm for coaching and developing team members
Experience advising clients on a variety of consulting and compliance engagements on partnerships, s-corps, individuals, or corporations
Experience conducting tax research and analyzing a wide variety of tax issues, including partnerships, s-corps, individuals, and corporations, and assisting with the compliance and investor reporting process.
Excellent leadership and organizational skills
Positive attitude and willingness to be a team player
Excellent time and project management skills
Ability to maintain and develop strong relationships with clients and internally to meet or exceed expectations
Willingness and ability to learn new concepts with minimal guidance
Strong external and internal communication required, due to client facing role and importance of strong partnership with internal engagement teams
Understanding of Outlook, Excel, Word, Adobe, etc. Required
Strong understanding of CCH Axcess required
