    Analyzes user's requirements, concept of operations documents, and high level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications. Analyzes system requirements and leads design and development activities. Guides users in formulating requirements, advises alternative approaches, and conducts feasibility studies. Provides technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology. Incorporates new plans, designs and systems into ongoing operations. Develops technical documentation. Develops system Architecture and system design documentation. Guides system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans. Interacts with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts. Ultimate responsibility for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility. Communicates with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives. The Level 0 System Engineer (SE) shall possess the following capabilities: Manage system requirements and derived requirements to ensure the delivery of production systems that are compatible with the defined system architecture(s) - Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF), Service-oriented Architecture (SOA), etc. Contribute to the development of sections of systems engineering documentation such as System Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, Requirements specifications, and Interface Control Documents Assist with the development of system requirements, functional requirements, and allocation of the same to individual hardware, software, facility, and personnel components Coordinate the resolution of action items from Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings, design reviews, program reviews, and test reviews that require cross-discipline coordination Desired Skills (knowledge and/or experience): Circuit Switched and Mobile Telephony signaling types, networks and systems, including audio encoding/decoding Specific communications protocols (e.g. GSM, CDMA, 5G, HTS, etc.) and associated community tools Application Development for ipv4 and ipv6 packet switched networks (i.e. L2, L3), protocols (i.e. VOIP) and technologies (VPNs, encapsulation) Digital forensics tools such as Wireshark Deep knowledge of the OSI network stack and associated protocols across layers 2-7. All protocol stacks for data transfer, to include but not limited to Routing protocols, Encapsulation, Tunneling and encryption, legacy protocols (i.e. SONET) Qualifications: No demonstrated experience is required. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required Four (4) years of SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree. Supports the building of security architectures. Enforces the design and implementation of trusted relations among external systems and architectures. Assesses and mitigates system security threats/risks throughout the program life cycle. Contributes the security planning, assessment, risk analysis, risk management, certification and awareness activities for system and networking operations. Reviews certification and accreditation (C&A) documentation, providing feedback on completeness and compliance of its content. The experience we are looking to add to our team: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in fluid system design, preferably in electronics cooling or industrial thermal systems. Proficiency in CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo) and CFD software (e.g., ANSYS Fluent, COMSOL). Strong understanding of fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and thermodynamics. Familiarity with quick disconnects, fluid seals (e.g., O-rings, gaskets, compression fittings), cold plates, pumps, and other liquid cooling components. Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, injection molding, and brazing. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, iterative development environment.
