The SARC Counselor's primary responsibilities are to provide comprehensive counseling services for primary and secondary survivors of domestic and sexual violence to include individual and group therapy in New Castle County, Delaware. This position will provide services at SARC in New Castle and The Healing Place at HLMC in Wilmington. This position includes Helpline, On Call, and Supervisory shift coverage for program service. This position reports to the Chief Health and Safety Officer.
Requirements
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES (may include, but not limited to):
Accountability/ Priority Objectives: Responsibility for providing trauma-informed counseling services for primary and secondary survivors of domestic and sexual violence to include individual and group therapy in NCC.
Provide crisis intervention, assessment, and short-term counseling to primary and secondary survivors of domestic and sexual violence, teen dating violence and abuse.
Plan, promote and provide therapeutic intervention and group services to adolescent and adult clients while maintaining the highest level of ethical standards including confidentiality and mandated reporting.
Manage grant documentation for program counseling services, including attending required professional development training for licensure and for delivering trauma-informed services.
Conduct periodic quality control audits for service and data integrity.
Responsible for coordinating counseling services between SARC and HLMC.
In consultation with other staff (Victim Services Director, Aftercare Community Health Coordinator, and Youth and Adult DVSV Counselors), participate in development of client service plans, prepare and maintain current records on assigned cases according to dual program policies and procedures, including intake, treatment plans, progress notes, and other appropriate documentation.
Provide counseling and case management to assigned clients individually or in groups, exercising a considerable degree of professional judgment.
Coordinate services to domestic and sexual violence victims with the local law enforcement agencies and the Attorney General's office including PFAs and SVPOs.
Assist in obtaining Office of Victim Services compensation (VCAP).
Attend quarterly SARA case management and review meetings.
Participate in mandatory agency, department, and program staff meetings and quality assurance activities.
Provides shift coverage for program services including Helpline, On Call NCC, and Supervisory shifts to ensure 24/7 access.
Provide shift coverage for Helpline, New Castle County On Call services for hospital, law enforcement and criminal justice accompaniments, and Supervisory shifts.
Participate in training and advanced training of volunteer advocates.
Monitor case management software for counseling service requests and referrals.
Maintains and grows positive internal and external relationships to ensure the achievement of service delivery goals.
Support SARC YWCA program leaders in identifying and recruiting new community partners and opportunities to deliver services through outreach.
Maintain current stakeholder relationships and identify opportunities to strengthen partnerships through additional service delivery or special projects.
Work with community partners to identify and recruit potential program volunteers and build awareness of services offered at SARC.
Other Duties include:
Ensure maximum economy in the use of Agency resources. Attendance at agency and/or departmental staff meetings as required. Represents the YWCA, SARC, and participant needs internally and to the community in a positive manner.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Master's Degree from an accredited college and/or university in human service field, social work, or relevant field plus a valid DE MSMHC, MSW or PCMH license required.
Experience:
Minimum 1 (one) year professional experience working in human service industry; preferably providing direct counseling services in sexual violence advocacy work for trauma survivors.

Qualifications:

CASES is a New York City agency at the forefront of the intersection between behavioral health and the criminal justice system. Our mission is to increase public safety through innovative services that reduce crime and incarceration, improve behavioral health, promote recovery and rehabilitation, and create opportunities for success in the community. The CASES Court Services department services court mandates or endorsed programming at all points in the criminal legal process. CASES operates, alternative to detention (ATD) and alternative to incarceration (ATI) community-based programs that are facilitated by the NYS Office of Court Administration (OCA) judiciary. CASES interfaces with multiple stakeholders to support these ATD and ATI program options for thousands of defendants in multiple boroughs. Specifically, the arraignment team screens approximately 10,000 defendants a year for ATD and ATI programs, Supervised Release and Newstart. Additionally, the ATI Intake Assessment Team screens 500 people per year to divert people into 3 (three) CASES community-based programs: Reframing Opportunity Alternatives and Resilience (ROAR), Nathaniel Community Success (NCS), and Nathaniel Assertive Community Treatment (NACT). All Court Services teams are dedicated to the CASES mission and facilitating release and positive court outcomes.
Salary: The salary for the Court Intake SocialWorker position is $61,800 - $70,000 per year.
Shift Hours: The Court Intake SocialWorker role is full time, Monday-Friday 9am-5pm.

What you will be doing:
Review preliminary information about a participant's needs, including arrest case information, criminal legal history, medical and mental health records, and attorney recommendations.

Develop comprehensive reports following interview and records review to develop individualized ATI program plans, in compliance with ATI assessment requirements and quality standards, to advocate with prosecutors and judges on behalf of participants to approve ATI disposition.
Maintain excellent professional relationships with judges, district attorneys, defense counsel, probation, other court partners, and CASES community staff, to facilitate program admissions and maintain the credibility of CASES in court.
Complete all necessary intake paperwork, including entering participant information into the ECM/AWARDS databases.
Participate in clinical supervision, case review meetings, staff meetings, in-service training programs, relevant quality improvement, coaching, and planning activities.
Provide culturally competent services ensuring the consideration of the role of ethnic/racial, cultural, social, economic, and behavioral factors in the accessibility, availability, and delivery of evaluation services.
Mentor less experienced colleagues in the intricacies of Court procedures, and CASES programs, especially eligibility and clinical criteria.

Rapidly after release into the program, the Clinical Case Coordinator conducts Supervision Introduction/Orientation meetings with new participants to review supervision conditions that will be required under the supervision plan. The Clinical Case Coordinator assists participants to comply with supervision appointments and court appearances during the pendency of their legal case. In this role, you will conduct ongoing service need assessments with participants and develop collaborative service plans addressing identified needs and goals. You will ensure participants receive services that are strengths-based, gender-specific, and culturally sensitive while adhering to the core principles of risk, need and responsivity to reduce recidivism. The goal is to increase engagement in community treatment services and support participants to achieve their self-identified goals for treatment, recovery, rehabilitation, and crime-free community integration.
This position is based in our Bronx Community Office and fieldwork in the larger NYC community as needed to assist participants. The ideal candidate for this position will possess excellent organizational skills, effective communication abilities, and the capacity to prioritize tasks efficiently. CASES' Supervised Release Program (SRP) annually diverts 7,500 people otherwise facing pretrial detention at Rikers Island to community-based supervision and support services. Program participants include youth and young adults, people with substance use disorders and mental illnesses, and individuals who are homeless. SRP participants have not been found guilty of a crime and are not mandated to engage in treatment or other services. This requires staff to tactfully deliver approaches to help participants tap into their intrinsic motivation to leverage their strengths and skills for meaningful life improvements while fulfilling all court requirements.

What you will be doing:
Provide supervision and community-based services to a caseload of pretrial participants.
Rapidly (within 24-48 hours of release) conduct Supervision Introduction/Orientation meetings with new participants to review supervision conditions, the reporting schedule (as assigned by level of recidivism risk), and the mandatory methods of communication (face-to-face, telephone, and texts) that will be required under the participant's supervision plan.
Work collaboratively with the court and other pretrial staff team to facilitate and ensure caseload participants' successful completion of mandated supervision appointments and court appearances during the pendency of their legal case.
Review legal and court screening documentation and work with participants to analyze their offending behavior patterns, identifying behavioral changes, need for implementation of supports that may reduce likelihood of any pretrial arrests.
On an ongoing basis, conduct service need assessments with participants to examine psychosocial needs and problems, including the severity of mental and substance use disorders, problems affecting participation, engagement, and continuity in supervision and treatment and individual motivation for treatment.
Link participants to treatment based on their eligibility, preferences and needs and provide escort to community services.
Maintain collaborative relationships with community providers (supported housing providers, Health Homes, care management programs, addiction treatment and mental health providers, peer-run providers, education, vocational. training and employment services providers, legal services providers, medical care providers, and family providers).
Help ensure we maintain a safe working environment by reporting any hazards or unsafe conditions, e.g., liquid spill in hallway, to the appropriate facilities staff member or supervisor.

Primary responsibilities:
Provide individual and group behavioral health services to youth across Clermont County, ensuring a client-centered approach that fosters active collaboration in the treatment process
Deliver services in diverse settings including schools, homes, and community locations, working closely with clients, families, and community professionals to tailor interventions that best meet the needs of each youth
Conduct prevention services aimed at identifying emerging behavioral or mental health challenges, while proactively engaging with clients and their families to create comprehensive treatment plans that involve appropriate referrals to other levels of care
Serve as a key liaison by linking clients to relevant community resources, ensuring that families have access to the support they need, and fostering strong partnerships with school staff, community organizations, and other stakeholders
Actively collaborate with schools, community-based professionals, and families to design and implement coordinated treatment strategies that promote the well-being and success of youth clients.

Summary Under the supervision of the Care Management Supervisor, the social work intern will work in an interdisciplinary team to improve access to integrated services for our clients. The intern will work with the site supervisor and team in collaborating with Behavioral Health, Primary Care, and Psychiatric services to ensure clients have access to available services.
Qualifications:
Education: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's level Social Work program or an Associate degree internship program

Responsibilities and duties:
Evaluates the status of clients and do appropriate planning and coordination of treatment activities to ensure immediate attention to their changing needs.
Directs and coordinates the client admission process and conduct screenings, and support services of the program in coordination with behavioral health and primary care providers.
Provides an array of services that address the individualized mental health needs of those individuals who have a mental illness, chemical dependency, including but not limited to ongoing assessment of needs, coordination of services, linkage, symptom monitoring, advocacy, outreach, housing placement, and skill development.
Coordinates with referral sources to ensure timely response and follow-up. Responds to referral sources and/or client appropriate services if the client does not meet criteria for services at The Centers.
Works closely with the Care Management Supervisor to conducts the maintenance and review of open referrals held in clinical records to ensure that open referrals are followed up on and addressed promptly. Performs case closures for open referrals when indicated.
Works collaboratively with behavioral health, physical health, and pharmacy staff to ensure integrated care is available to all clients.
Attends and participates in multi-disciplinary team meetings
Completes agency documentation in accordance with ODMH and best practice standards

For more information, please visit ********************* Program Overview: Intercept, developed by Youth Villages, is an evidence-based intensive, in-home program that focuses on keeping families together by preventing out-of-home placements or facilitating reunification after such placements, including foster care, residential treatment facilities, hospitalization, or juvenile detention centers. It is one of the first programs to receive the well-supported designation from Title IV-E Prevention Services Clearinghouse developed in accordance with the Family First Prevention Services Act (FFPSA) having been shown to reduce out-of-home placements and accelerate permanency for children. This program serves youth from birth to age 18 who are facing serious emotional or behavioral challenges or have experienced trauma, such as abuse or neglect. Services are provided by highly trained Family Intervention Specialists directly in the family's home and community-Intercept is not an office-based program. Intercept provides intensive, strength-based support tailored to each family's unique needs, ultimately helping them achieve lasting change through evidence-based mental health interventions, along with the development of new parenting and communication skills. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The Family Intervention Specialist: * Carries a caseload of 4 to 6 families * Holds individual and family sessions with each family 3 times a week, scheduled at the convenience of the families * Conducts on-going assessment of youth to determine their needs from a strength-focused, solution-based perspective * Attends 3 weekly meetings (individual, team, and clinical consultation) for professional development to help enhance clinical skills * Drives up to 60 to 80 miles to meet with families in their homes and communities (additional travel may be required) * Collaborates with other providers, case workers, and courts to formulate a collaborative treatment plan * Provides on-call crisis support to the youth and family (schedules vary by location) * Completes accurate and timely documentation in an electronic medical record system (EMR) * Performs other duties as assigned Additional Information: * Schedule is flexible and non-traditional as it is based around the availability of youth and families served. * Applicants must possess a current, valid driver's license, an automobile for work purposes, and proof of auto insurance. * Community-based staff will be reimbursed for applicable mileage.
