We are now accepting resumes for a part-time, leading into full-time, mental health therapist across our School-Based programs for Westosha and Walworth County schools! School-Based therapists go directly into the school to provide intervention, including: individual and group therapy, education/consultation for school personnel, and family therapy as needed. PSG/CIP is a multi-service community-based social services organization that fulfills its mission of helping individuals and families to achieve their greatest potential through dynamic, cost effective and innovative programming responsive to the needs of diverse communities. Candidates should have an interest in providing services to students K-12 in a school setting. Those with experience working with schools, an understanding of family systems and the effects and treatment of children and teens who have suffered emotional trauma are also preferred. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SCHOOL-BASED THERAPIST: Assess the therapeutic needs of clients and complete formal assessments. Create and review client treatment plans and provide psychotherapy in accordance with the treatment plans. Exercise judgment to intervene as an advocate for clients in emergency and crisis situations. Demonstrate knowledge and skill in addressing family system, mental health, parenting, and alcohol/drug issues through individual, family, or group counseling. Organize and facilitate structured group, individual and/or family activities. Provide consultation to the child's school and school personnel as needed. Coordinate services and maintain communication with all service providers involved with the clients. LOCATION AND HOURS: Position is based at assigned school locations within Elkhorn, Lake Ganeva and western Kenosha schools. Hours vary dependent on the school hours but typically will be Monday-Friday between 7:30-5:00pm. Part-time status at beginning of employment with the opportunity to move into full-time; 40 hours per week. Job Responsibilities: Wisconsin Community Services (WCS) YOUTH CCS MENTAL HEALTH PROFESSIONAL (MHP)/SUPERVISOR SPECIALIZED SERVICES PROGRAM - CCS The role of the Youth CCS Mental Health Professional (MHP)/Supervisor is focused on providing direct supervision and clinical support to the Youth CCS Care Coordinators. The MHP/Supervisor also provides clinical guidance to high-risk youth and young adults enrolled in Youth CCS. The MHP/Supervisor responsibilities are two equally essential roles. The supervisor responsibilities include direct supervision of the Youth CCS staff to ensure comprehensive services are being provided to meet the individualized needs of each person served by Youth CCS. The clinical work includes providing direct clinical consultation to Care Coordinators and supporting high-risk enrolled youth who may need additional clinical care. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide supervision to the Youth CCS team to ensure services are being coordinated to meet the identified needs of the individuals being served by the Youth CCS program. This includes being a champion of the Youth CCS process while providing leadership, and role modeling a strength-based environment. Interview, hire, evaluate, manage, and train assigned Youth CCS staff in accordance with Milwaukee County Youth Behavioral Health programs and WCS Policies and Procedures. We are now accepting resumes for School-Based Therapists in our Washington County School-Based programs! Professional Services Group provides school-based services in various counties and school districts. Professional Services Group and Community Impact Programs is a multi-service community-based social services organization that fulfills its mission of helping individuals and families to achieve their greatest potential through dynamic, cost effective and innovative programming responsive to the needs of diverse communities. Our programs work with children and their families who are struggling with academic and behavioral concerns within the school environment. School-Based staff go directly into the school to provide intervention, including: individual and group therapy, education/consultation and collaboration for school personnel, and family therapy as needed. Ideal candidates will enjoy having summers off or reduced summer hours. Part-time summer hours are available in addition to those associated with the 9-month salary. Candidates should have an interest in providing services to students K-12 in a school setting. Those with experience with working with schools and an understanding of family systems, the effects and treatment of children and teens who have suffered emotional trauma are also preferred. KEY RESPONSIBILITES OF OUR SCHOOL-BASED THERAPIST: Assess the therapeutic needs of clients and complete formal assessments. Create and review client treatment plans. Provide psychotherapy in accordance with the child's treatment plans. Exercise judgment to intervene as an advocate for clients in emergency and crisis situations. Demonstrate knowledge and skill in addressing family system, mental health, parenting, and alcohol/drug issues through individual, family, or group counseling. Organize and facilitate structured group, individual and/or family activities. Provide consultation to the child's school and school personnel as needed. Coordinate services and maintain communication with all service providers involved with the clients. HOURS AND LOCATION: This position is part-time with the opportunity to develop into full-time with hours varying depending on school hours of operation but typically will occur Monday-Friday between the hours of 7:30-5:00pm.
