Job Duties
Trade Compliance Administration and Metrics -
Develop and create performance metrics for agents, brokers, forwarders, and internal departments. Complete, correct, and ensure accurate HTS and ECCN classifications and recordkeeping. Utilize regulatory knowledge to determine country of origin for Company produced materials and recommend marking for same. Investigate restricted party screening for recommendation to management or legal. Calculate and prepare US Customs reconciliation for submission. Submit electronic filings with US Government entities and CTPAT supply chain security program. Manage qualification process for FTA and programs including Buy American to certify and ensure appropriate and accurate recordkeeping. Author protests for submission to US Customs and Border Protection Agency for relevant import entries. Research product scope, qualification, or inclusion in programs including Antidumping and Countervailing duties, and Partner Government Agency entry filing.
Internal Audits and Report Results -
Conduct internal audits of classifications, origin, trade programs, policies, procedures, CTPAT Security Criteria and transactional documents to identify risks. Compile audit results, provide recommendations, and coordinate corrective action to completion. Ensure questions, concerns, and requests for support/help are addressed and documented. Prepare export license applications. Complete corrections to documents or entries and maintain audit trail.
Policies and Procedures -
Research laws, regulations, and best practices to support Company's trade compliance programs. Interface with Company's international locations and functions to ensure alignment of trade procedures. Assist the development and administration of trade compliance policies, procedures, and periodic management reviews. Develop and facilitate training to address specific functions for current or newly hired employees.
Leadership and Development -
Assist in developing and coaching team members. Provide leadership to Support and Specialist personnel as subject matter expert in department. Monitor educational courses in supply chain security and international trade to ensure Company personnel receive appropriate education and experience. Lead training sessions for Trade department and service providers.
Minimum Qualifications
5-7 years related experience
Bachelor's degree (Business or Supply Chain)

Job Duties
Receive, review, interpret and prepare data for US Customs import claims. Interact with suppliers outside the United States to streamline document submission processes. Ensure shipments travelling to the US have correct paperwork and data for submission to US Customs. Work closely with suppliers, service providers, brokers, and freight forwarders, to determine, maintain, and audit import claims prior to arrival and after completion. Provide data and documentation to service providers. Track all shipments to the United States and originating outside of it. Maintain statistics regarding volume and method of conveyance. Track, provide statistics, and manage corrective action regarding missed deadlines. Create method to track return items from initial shipment to claim US Goods Return advantage. Report metrics regarding refund amounts claimed, received and outstanding. Create metric for failures and penalties to identify trends and conduct root cause analysis. Auditing
Independently investigate and act on matters, including the design and execution of internal investigations, validation and implementation of appropriate corrective actions. These investigations may focus on:
Identifying leakages in business processes and limiting exposure to fraud
Financial audits e.g. cashflow management, accounting, book-keeping, etc.
SCM e.g. procurement, tendering, controls of and recording of physical movement of goods in and out of plants/quarries, warehouses; customer billing, logistics models assessment etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional [CCEP], Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager [CRCM], or equivalent) is preferred.
5+ years of experience in compliance, legal, or regulatory roles, with a focus on regional or multinational organizations.

Position Summary:
The Trade Compliance & Quality Auditor actively supports import and export compliance through strategic and statistical regulatory and quality audits to ensure Mohawk Global operates in compliance with government regulations. * Conduct audits of customs entries, AES and ISF filings and related documentation
* Verify accuracy of tariff classifications, declared values, and country of origin
* Identify and report areas of improvement through key metric indicators
* Advise and document the training of the brokerage and export departments on compliance procedures
