Nationwide IT Services (NIS) is seeking an experienced Cloud Computing Specialist - SMEfor a potential opportunity to provide expertise in Certification & Accreditation (C&A), the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF), and DoD/DISA security architecture. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of cloud security best practices across multiple environments and deployment models, ensuring compliance with NIST SP 800-37, NIST SP 800-53, and current DoD cybersecurity standards.Key Responsibilities
Serve as a cloud security SME, applying RMF and FedRAMP methodologies to assess and secure complex DoD cloud environments.
Design, implement, and validate secure cloud hosting solutions across AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), and Google Cloud.
Develop and maintain deployment specifications, including configurations, test plans, and supporting documentation.
Collaborate with DLA engineers, DISA stakeholders, and vendors to troubleshoot hosting and deployment challenges.
Advise on the implementation of Zero Trust, SCCA, and CAP solutions to meet DoD/DISA directives.
Apply the Cloud Security Requirements Guide (SRG) to ensure compliance in areas such as network security, encryption, tenant isolation, vulnerability assessments, key management, and application firewalls.
Recommend innovative cloud strategies to streamline operations and enhance mission support.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of Certification & Accreditation (C&A) and RMF experience in DoD environments.
5+ years of hands-on experience designing, deploying, and migrating workloads in multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, OCI, GCP).
Proven ability to assess, document, and improve cybersecurity controls for large-scale information systems.
Expertise in modern architectures, including hybrid, edge computing, cloud-native microservices, and IoT protocols.
Strong technical and business writing skills (documentation, reports, assessments).
Certifications:
Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)
DoD 8570 IAT Level II (e.g., Security+)

**What You'll get to Do:**
This position will primarily be located in Chantilly, VA, at the SIGINT Technology Center (STC) with regular required visits to customer site. The STC is where technology and teamwork come together to meet the unique needs of the Intelligence Community and Department of Defense. The STC is comprised of multiple mission-focused programs with projects ranging from SIGINT payload and data link development to OCONUS/CONUS mission/maintenance support. STC tasks include system design, engineering development, system integration, hands-on build and test, field operations and maintenance, training, and production.
Provide overall operations and maintenance support of fielded SIGINT systems to include:
+ Provide ground support analysis during operational flights and act as a liaison between operations, engineering, and data analysis.
+ Deliver on-site SIGINT system triage support on a set schedule and on-call pager support for deployed systems. Pager duty is a 1-week rotation typically performed twice per quarter and up to once a month.
+ Interface and collaborate with customers, end users, operators, and Field Service Representatives to document and resolve issues, concerns, or questions regarding NG systems.
+ Coordinate and enact troubleshooting procedures at the customer site, including additional actions as directed by the engineering team; develop and execute troubleshooting procedures for real-time operations.
+ Collaborate with NG system engineering leads, vendor SMEs, and a multi-disciplinary engineering team for triage, follow-up engineering, and system upgrades to maximize uptime and capability.
+ Maintain direct involvement with engineering leads, issue tracker, and O&M communications to ensure awareness and tracking of team communications and issues; add or update tickets in the Issue Tracker and/or JIRA and communicate with the O&M support team.
+ Regularly attend Core weekly NG, customer, and vendor meetings. As needed, facilitate NG-led technical exchange meetings (TEMs) with customers, vendors, and external partners.
+ Establish and maintain strong working relationships with customers, vendors, and external partners.
**Basic Qualifications for Senior Principal Airborne Systems Operator:**
+ An active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph required to be considered with the ability to maintain that clearance is required.
+ A minimum of 8 Years of experience with a Bachelor's degree; 6 Years with Master's degree; 4 years with PhD; 10 years of experience with an Associates degree or 12 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
+ Strong interdisciplinary problem-solving skills, demonstrated by frequent and successful application of technical standards, theories, concepts, and techniques.
+ Knowledge and familiarity with Windows and Linux Operating Systems, specifically the ability to execute in command line and rapidly navigate both operating systems.
**Preferred Qualifications for both levels:**
+ Knowledge of modern wireless communication systems.
+ Knowledge of RF system components & functions.
+ Experience in operations and maintenance, SIGINT/EW systems, and workflows.
