The qualified applicant will have an adjunct faculty appointment (non-tenure track) in the Department of Clinical Education and Clinical Sciences at the New England College of Optometry (NECO). The Screening Instructor will be overseen by the Patient Care I Instructor of Record who reports to the Dean of Academic Affairs.

Screening Instructors will lead first-year NECO students in weekly morning screening sessions at local Boston area schools in the Fall and/or Spring semesters. Generally, 2 screening instructors are paired with 10 first-year students during each 4-hour screening session.
Screening instructors can participate in as few as one screening per week or as many as 5 screenings per week on a per diem or supplemental basis. ($400/5 hours, 4 hours screenings and 1 hour admin time). Screenings are only held in the mornings (M-F in the fall, M-Th in the spring semester.)

Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Instructor/Lecturer include the following:
* Lead the development, design, and delivery of the online Masters in Clinical and Community Nutrition and explore opportunities for related online programs (e.g. certificate courses and programs, stackable transcriptable programs, etc.).
* Coordinate with DPD and DI Program Directors to ensure a smooth pipeline for students interested in completing these programs in addition to the MS
* Investigate and implement innovative online educational programs, focusing on factors to consider in strategic decisions, timelines for new-program development, and necessary campus processes.
* Work with campus and college support units to develop and implement strategies for program development, market research, recruitment, and marketing.
* Work with department, college, and campus stakeholders on issues related to policies that are associated with educational technologies.
* Maintain current knowledge in new and emerging educational issues at the pedagogical, programmatic, and administrative levels, and advise the department on how it can respond to strategic opportunities in these areas.
* Understand the strategic, operational and technical needs of the online educational program, and guide the development of departmental policies and processes to support these needs.

Position Summary
The UIC School of Public Health is seeking two full-time instructional faculty to support our newly developed, fully online, asynchronous Master of Public Health (MPH) Generalist Concentration and online, asynchronous Public Health Foundations Certificate Program. Courses are taught in 8-week terms, and faculty are expected to teach 7-8 courses per calendar year, including practicum and capstone teaching/advising. Responsibilities include course development, teaching, student supervision/advising of capstone projects, and participation in concentration-, divisional-, and/or School-level service. At least one position will be responsible for helping students locate and be placed in applied practice experiences (experiential learning sites). Faculty will be at the rank of Lecturer or Instructor (or Senior Lecturer/Instructor) and must meet the following minimum qualifications based on rank.
Minimum Qualifications
Instructor
* Terminal degree (PhD, DrPH, JD, MD, etc.) in a relevant field.
* At least 2 years of prior experience teaching public health courses at the graduate level.
* Experience teaching courses in any of the following disciplines: epidemiology, biostatistics, foundations of public health, health policy and/or law, public health promotion, planning and evaluation, health communications, environmental health, global health, and/or health economics.
* Proven experience teaching in an online environment.
* At least 3 years of demonstrated experience working in public health practice (e.g., academic institutions, governmental public health, public health advocacy, nonprofits).
Lecturer
* A minimum of an MPH or related Master's degree (e.g., MS, MHA, MHS, MSPH).

* Proximity to the Chicago area to enable working with UIC instructional designers, in our media development studio, on course material development, student meetings, and college-level service.

The Psychology Department at Worcester State University seeks qualified individuals to join our adjunct hiring pool in Developmental Psychology. Adjunct faculty members would teach 3-credit undergraduate courses, such as Developmental Psychology (conception to adolescence), Psychology of Aging, or Psychology of Adolescence. The New England College of Optometry invites applications for part-time (non-benefits eligible) Adjunct Instructor Faculty for our School Screening Program, a key component of the Patient Care I (PCI) Course. The qualified applicant will have an adjunct faculty appointment (non-tenure track) in the Department of Clinical Education and Clinical Sciences at the New England College of Optometry (NECO). The Screening Instructor will be overseen by the Patient Care I Instructor of Record who reports to the Dean of Academic Affairs.
The College is a small, dynamic institution located in the historic Back Bay section of Boston and has a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, service, and research.
Screening Instructors will lead first-year NECO students in weekly morning screening sessions at local Boston area schools in the Fall and/or Spring semesters. Generally, 2 screening instructors are paired with 10 first-year students during each 4-hour screening session.
Screening instructors can participate in as few as one screening per week or as many as 5 screenings per week on a per diem or supplemental basis. ($400/5 hours, 4 hours screenings and 1 hour admin time). Screenings are only held in the mornings (M-F in the fall, M-Th in the spring semester.)
