Rahns Construction Material Company, a partner with the H&K Group, Inc is looking for a Precast Laborer to be responsible for designing and building forms, pouring concrete, then spreading and smoothing it using trowels or other tools. You may also be required to apply stains to finish the concrete and concluding the process by applying waterproofing and sealants. Your ability to meet job specifications and make top class finishes in concrete work will ensure your success.

Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Performs all work adhering to OSHA and H&K Safety policies
Designing and building forms
Setting up the forms
Pouring concrete
Using wire mesh to reinforce the concrete
Spreading and smoothing concrete
Molding expansion joints and edges
Using stains or colors to add the finishing touch
Applying waterproofing and sealant to protect the concrete work
Monitoring the material to ensure it hardens to a durable finish
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required Skills, Education, and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent (such as the GED) from an accredited educational institution OR One month of related experience and/or training
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to understand and carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
Problem solving
Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed
Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)
Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience
Experience working in heavy civil construction, road construction, quarries, or heavy manufacturing
Experience in Precast Cement and cement manufacturing strongly preferred
OSHA or other relevant safety certifications

POSITION SCOPE
The General Laborer is a safety sensitive role responsible for general laborer duties at the operation and perform tasks involving physical labor for construction projects. The job duties of a general laborer vary. They may include cleaning and preparing a jobsite, loading and delivering materials, and using a variety of tools and machines such as blowtorches, forklifts, levels, lifts, power drills, grinders, saws, pressure washers, and water spraying equipment.
PRIMARY DUTIES
Assists with all phases of construction including, but not limited to: loading, driving, delivery, digging, removal and placement of various types, sizes and weight of construction materials and equipment
Work as a part of a crew focused on safety to clear and prepare sites
Assist as required in all manual labor aspects of the project as directed by supervisor
Knowledge and ability to operate construction equipment
Handles physically demanding construction duties
Assist team members in placing construction materials, manual labor, and shovel work
Ability to load and unload equipment (backhoe, steel plates, excavators, loaders, etc.)

REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must be at least 18 years old

Role on the Team (Job Responsibilities):
High level performance of water mitigation, tarping, board up, mold remediation, asbestos/lead abatement and carpet cleaning/reinstallation services according to Paul Davis and industry specifications under the supervision of the Mitigation Manager.
Focus and dedication to providing excellent customer service.
Maintain a clean, properly stocked and organized truck and maintain all company equipment.
Be accessible by phone and participate, as necessary, in the on-call schedule.
Assist in warehousing and facility related tasks when necessary.
You will assist other team members as you see opportunities arise and be a leader for the team when needed.

Role and Responsibilities
Lay and install bricks, blocks, stone, and other masonry materials according to blueprints, drawings, and project specifications.
Prepare and clean surfaces, ensuring proper bonding materials and techniques are used for all installations.
Measure and cut materials to fit project requirements, ensuring precision and accuracy in all aspects of the work.
Mix and apply mortar, grout, and other bonding agents to secure masonry materials in place.
Work with a variety of masonry materials, including brick, stone, concrete blocks, and cultured stone, ensuring correct installation and finishing.
Ensure that all work complies with safety codes, building codes, and project specifications.
Repair and maintain masonry structures, including patching, re-pointing, and replacing damaged materials.
Assist in the installation of decorative masonry elements, such as arches, columns, and veneers.
Follow safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
Work alongside other trades and contractors to ensure the timely and successful completion of projects.
Maintain and care for tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working order.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, disposing of waste materials properly.
Keep track of materials used and report inventory needs to supervisors.
Perform other duties as required by the foreman or project manager.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Completion of an apprenticeship or journeyman program in bricklaying or masonry.
5+ years of experience as a bricklayer or mason in a construction environment.
Strong knowledge of masonry techniques, tools, and materials.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and project specifications.
Proficiency in measuring, cutting, and laying masonry materials with precision.
Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and best practices in bricklaying.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete projects efficiently and on time.
Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship.
Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting, bending, and working in various weather conditions.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot on-site issues.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Skills:
Certification or additional training in masonry or construction safety (e.g., OSHA).
Experience with specialized masonry techniques or decorative bricklaying.
Familiarity with construction management software or tools.
Physical Requirements
Work is primarily performed on construction job sites, exposed to outdoor elements and varying weather conditions.
Some physical labor is required, including lifting and carrying materials, as well as climbing and working at heights.
Personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times.

Position Overview:
The Industrial Cleaning Laborer will be working mostly outdoors in industrial construction environments, performing a variety of tasks depending on the needs of the job scope. Laborers will be expected to assist in industrial cleaning, job site cleanup and preparation, and more, with a safety-first mentality. Use of hand tools will be required. Candidate must be willing to work outdoors in all types of weather or in buildings without heating or air conditioning.
