Role Description
Cashiers greet customers, answer questions, thank customers and provide prompt and courteous service. This role includes ringing up customers, receiving payment for goods, monitoring all merchandise passing through the register line, and maintaining the cleanliness of their area.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Greets customers, answers questions, thanks customers and provides prompt and courteous service.
Scans orders by sliding items from conveyor belt and across tabletop scanner from left or right, depending on register setup, to the packaging area.
Uses hand-held scanning gun or keys item numbers when necessary.
Transfers or ensures transfer of each item as number is scanned.
Monitors all merchandise passing through register line, promoting accurate merchandise inventory.
Requests supervisor verification for high-ticket items.
Assists with transferring merchandise in carts and packaging orders, following all safety and security procedures.
Receives accurate payment for goods, makes change, processes checks, EBT, credit and debit charges according to proper departmental procedures for paperwork and performance of duties.
Counts register at sign on, orders change, makes witnessed drops of excess funds to vault, orders cash increases, and counts register at shift end to maintain accurate register funds.
Performs related tasks, set-up and closing duties for department, such as putting returned or moved product back, collecting paperwork, stocking register, cleaning area, and retrieving carts.
Fills propane tanks for customers.
Ensures all current safety guidelines are followed when conducting propane operations.
Experience/Education:
A High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
Must be at least 21 Years of Age - Handling of Tobacco and Liquor required

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Kitchen Assistant plays an important role in supporting the Kitchen Manager and ensuring that Camp Ks youth-focused Food Service Program delivers nutritious, delicious meals in a safe, clean, and welcoming environment. This position contributes directly to a high-quality camp experience for campers, families, and visitors alike.
As a Kitchen Assistant, youll help prepare meals in accordance with Camp K guidelines, assist with kitchen inventory and food storage, maintain sanitation and safety standards, and help care for kitchen equipment and facilities. Youll work collaboratively with the kitchen and camp staff to ensure smooth operations and an enjoyable dining experience for everyone.
Successful candidates demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills, respect for diversity, and a positive attitude when engaging with youth and peers. Youll also serve as a role model, promoting inclusivity, responsibility, and the spirit of community that makes Camp K special.

They also provide oversight to the Camp K Creative Arts Program, which entails developing and teaching art activities for all age groups i.e. arts & crafts, drama, singing, music, acting, etc. In this position your will gain experience collaborating with program leadership to identify camp needs, develop/implement successful programming, and take part in the evaluations of the programs.
Qualifications:
Must be a minimum of eighteen (18) years of age, this is required to maintain compliance with regulatory and accrediting agencies. Twenty-one (21) years old or older preferred.
Prior experience in creative arts instruction, including lesson planning, is required.
Outdoor Living Skills Core Counselor
Responsible for the 24 hour per day supervision and guidance of a cabin group of campers, working with other counselors and support staff to facilitate a variety of activities. Additionally, provides oversight to the Outdoor Living Skills (OLS) Program, which entails developing and teaching nature, outdoor education, and outdoor living skills activities. Lead expedition trips with small groups of older campers.

Target Sports Core Counselor

The Camp K Lead Counselor plays an essential role in supporting the Summer Assistant Director with the planning, facilitation, and supervision of all camp programs. POSITION SUMMARY:
The Waterfront Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring the safety, growth, and enjoyment of campers through both cabin leadership and the Camp K Aquatics Program. In this role, youll provide 24-hour supervision and guidance to a cabin group of campers, working closely with fellow counselors and support staff to deliver a variety of engaging camp activities.
In addition to cabin responsibilities, youll lead and oversee all lakeside and aquatic programs on Kenai Lake, including canoeing, kayaking, swimming, and water safety and survival skills. Youll also perform lifeguarding duties and supervise camp lifeguards during aquatic activities to maintain the highest standards of safety and instruction at the waterfront.
This is a live-on-site summer position, offering the opportunity to be fully immersed in the camp community while working in the stunning setting of Chugach National Forest.
Through your leadership, youll help bring Camp Fire Alaskas Promise to life, giving youth the opportunity tofind their spark, lift their voice, and discover who they are.
