Prepares labels for new and refill prescriptions, adds new drugs to the inventory, prepares daily reports of prescription volumes, weekly Drug Utilization reports, patient profiles, and adds or edits patients to the database. Reads prescriptions and determines the kind, strength, and dosage of drug to be dispensed. Correlates instruction on order with pharmacy policy. If required, annotates the prescription to assure compliance with dispensing limitation. Sets up prescriptions by obtaining correct stock container, counting or pouring correct amounts of medication, and placing medication in appropriate container. Bulk compounds, prepackages, and labels a full range of products according to formula cards, or special instructions. Prepares computer labels for prepackaging purposes and assures that the manufacturer, lot number and expiration date is correct. Inventories and orders supplies ensuring that the appropriate stock levels are maintained. Works along clinical pharmacists and provides administrative and technical support to arrange for patient encounters, aggregates and collects important patient and drug information to be reviewed by the pharmacist and prepares data collection with the use of computer systems. Performs narcotic inventories and maintains perpetual inventory while assigned to narcotic area. Performs other duties as assigned. Mandatory Qualifications: Must be a graduate of an accredited Pharmacy Technician Program and possess one (1) year of experience in a pharmacy may be substituted if work is of an equivalent nature. All Pharmacy Technician shall possess and maintain current certification in at least one (1) state or territory in the US. Minimum one (1) year of successful clinical practice within the past five year. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English fluently. How you will make an impact: * Member Support: Serve as the primary contact for members experiencing medication access issues, providing empathetic and knowledgeable assistance. * Troubleshooting and Prior Authorization: Identify and resolve barriers to medication access, including insurance pre-authorizations and formulary restrictions. Process prior authorization requests from healthcare providers to ensure compliance with Medicare requirements, and inform relevant parties of determinations. * Collaboration: Work closely with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and pharmacies to resolve complex medication access cases. * Education and Communication: Inform members about pharmacy-based rules, alternative medications, and resources for assistance programs. Navigate members through the appeals process when necessary. * Documentation and Reporting: Accurately document member interactions and generate reports relating to rebates, physician utilization, and other relevant metrics. Maintain records of prior authorizations and monthly reports. * Continuous Improvement: Suggest process enhancements to improve the member experience by identifying patterns in medication access barriers. Minimum Requirements: * Requires H.S. diploma or equivalent and minimum of 1 year of pharmacy experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. * Current State Pharmacy Tech. * Certification or National Certification based on applicable state(s) required. Experience 1 year experience in healthcare or purchasing preferred Education High School Diploma, 2 years undergraduate education preferred ESSENTIAL DUTIES, FUNCTION & RESPONSIBILITIES Monitors inventory, submits and receives orders on formulary from approved vendors. Reconciles invoices for processing by accounts payable. Supports in managing contracting, purchasing, and receiving of all drug product, med-surg supply, and other necessary materials needed for daily operations. Assists Procurement and Supply Chain Manager with formulary compliance. Tracks, orders, and distributes patient specific medications from specialty pharmacy providers. Monitors and tracks DME and compounding equipment. Participates in company physical inventories per policy. Tracks, monitors and performs inventory functions in both CPR+ and InfuseFlow. Packages, ships, and tracks products needed in other company facilities. Performs cycle inventory counts in pharmacy and clinics. Maintains appropriate documentation. Supplies necessary data during development of company budget as it pertains to material goods. Other related duties as assigned. Associates or Technical degree in medium voltage and low voltage a plus. Inventory/MRP system experience desired; MISys experience a plus. General knowledge of part assembly drawings and assembly drawings. Unit is both mechanical and electrical in nature. Prior work history in a manufacturing or service center is desired. Fluent in written and oral English is required. Ability to lift 25 pounds from floor to counter height on a regular basis and occasionally lift and move heavier objects. Seeking full-time candidates.
