JOB TITLE: Group Fitness Instructor COMPANY: Cowboys Fit DIRECTLY REPORTS TO: General Manager and Group Fitness Manager DEPARTMENT: Group Fitness The Group Fitness Instructor is a member of the Cowboys Fit team and plays a key role in the companys overall success. The Group Fitness Instructor (GFI) will prepare and lead a fun, safe and effective group class based on the class description, offering modifications for less experienced or more experienced clients as needed. The instructor will represent the club in a positive manner, greeting the clients as they enter and leave class.
WORK SCHEDULE
This is a part-time position. Your daily schedule will vary throughout the week depending on the needs of the club, the staff, and the members.

Arrive 5 minutes early for all classes to prepare the room and greet clients
Dress appropriately for all classes
Maintain current and correct certifications for his/her format(s) as well as CPR cert
Begin and end classes on time per the monthly schedule
Prepare and lead a fun, safe and effective class for all levels of participation based on class description
Keep studios orderly, lock stereo cabinet and use a microphone sponge cover
Maintain an electronic record of classes taught or subbed, including attendance numbers
When needed, secure substitute teacher(s) to cover your regular class or a class you have agreed to sub
Notify your Group Fitness Director (GFD) of all substitutes as early as possible
Contact the club if you are running late and ask that someone from management notify your class
Please teach what is scheduled. If members want something different let the GFD know so a class can be added
All written or verbal communication must be delivered in a positive manner

What You Bring to the Y

Black Belt in Taekwondo
Current CPR and First Aid certifications must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
Previous experience as a martial arts instructor, preferably with experience working with youth and adults.
Strong knowledge of boxing techniques, self-defense, and martial arts principles.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and motivate a diverse group of students.
Demonstrated ability to create and deliver dynamic and age-appropriate training sessions.
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hiring).
Additional certifications in martial arts disciplines such as Tae Kwon Do or mixed martial arts are preferred.

The Instructor will work with SNAP-Ed target populations providing instruction and education to energetic groups. The Instructor works with diverse populations to bring communities together through health promotion and obesity prevention. They will be responsible for leading virtual and or in person physical activity and nutrition education classes to Ft. Worth area community groups in a fun and safe manner, engaging with participants to ensure program retention, promoting Healthier Texas' programming and events, and will perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Instruction (75%)
Lead physical activity program and provide nutrition education to SNAP-Ed target audiences, ensuring safety and engagement
Attend training on curricula to ensure program fidelity
Participate and support implementation of local community events such as, but not limited to, outreach events and Community Challenge.
Relationship Manager (15%)
Create and maintain relationships with program participants
Create and maintain relationships with community groups, when assigned, to offer programming
Community Engagement (10%)
Promote classes throughout the community via social media and community networks

Position Overview: As a Preschool Hip Hop Dance Instructor, you will be instrumental in introducing young children (ages 3-6) to the exciting world of dance. Your role will involve leading fun, energetic classes that focus on rhythm, movement, and self-expression while providing a safe environment for all participants. This position is part-time, with flexible hours during the school week.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct engaging and age-appropriate hip hop dance classes for preschool children.
Incorporate fun and creative choreography that encourages self-expression and rhythm.
Create a positive, supportive atmosphere that boosts children's confidence and encourages teamwork.
Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants during classes.
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to provide updates on student progress.
Maintain a clean and organized dance space and equipment.
Exhibit dependability and punctuality, adhering to scheduled class times.

Requirements
Minimum of 18 years of age.
Experience in hip hop dance is required, and prior teaching experience is preferred.
Must enjoy working with young children and have the ability to engage and connect with them.
Personal reliable means of transportation to commute to various locations.
Ability to create a fun and energetic learning atmosphere.
Must be punctual, responsible, and able to manage a group of young children effectively.
