Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
* Clean out and de-trash interior of vehicles by removing any debris and trash from ashtrays, console, dashboard, door panels, seats, etc., as well as trunk and engine compartment.
* Remove license plates and stickers, as well as any writing from windows, except pertinent to Auction business. Disassemble spare tires in trunk.
* Wash vehicles using a high-pressure washer or automatic car wash equipment. Apply chemicals, power-wash the engine compartment and clean battery terminals.
* Clean doorjambs, sills, interior panels, wheels, tires, hub caps/wheel covers, wheel wells, moldings, bumpers, head- and taillights, spare tire, exterior panels, trunk, hood, and interior and exterior windows. Detail vehicles by cleaning and dressing trim, molding, weather stripping, instrument panel, steering wheel, dash molding, etc. with detail brushes.
* Buff vehicles by applying dressing to engine compartment, wheels, wheel wells and tires, vinyl tops, etc. Apply compound, cleaner and/or polish to vehicles interior, and buff out using a rotary buffer (or by hand as necessary). Wax and buff exterior and all painted surfaces of vehicles using a hand-type buffer.
* Vacuum interior, scrub, shampoo and spot clean carpet and upholstery. Straighten seatbelts.
* Clean glove box making sure that warranty booklet, owner's manual and other manufacturer issued information is returned.
* Visibly demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling the behaviors related to such. Actively participate in support of all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence.
* Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor, including driving vehicle into building and to proper clean car staging area, occasional sale day driving.
Qualifications:
* High School Diploma/GED preferred.
* Generally, less than 2 years' experience in a related field
* Previous experience in detail shop or buffing experience helpful.
* Safe drivers needed; valid driver's license required.
* Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.
* Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk and hear.
* Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat and climb.
* Medium strength: ability to lift 1-30 pounds (light hand tools, etc.).
* Manual dexterity, repetitive motion tasks.
* Vision abilities required include close, distance and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
* Frequent exposure to wet and/or humid conditions. Occasional exposure to outdoor weather, moving mechanical parts, electrical shock hazard and toxic or caustic chemicals. Moderate noise level.

Job Description
This position ensures that vehicles sent to the Detail Shop are cleaned and detailed to sale condition according to customer specifications and Auction standards by inspecting vehicles and work areas upon completion of reconditioning work.
Job Responsibilities:
Inspect and verify that quality of detail/reconditioning work performed is in accordance to customer specifications and contract standards. Examine visually and by touch if necessary. Track all vehicles entering and exiting the lanes using a detail sheets.
Check wash bay steps by inspecting trunk jambs, looking for grease on hinges, bugs, fender wells and lower splash shields, etc.
Check interior cleaning steps by inspecting ashtrays, dashboards, panels, vinyl, windows, carpets and upholstery, and making sure debris is removed, etc.
Check buffing steps by verifying that dressing was properly applied to the engine and tires and that the vehicle was waxed, buffed and polished to appropriate standards.
Check final touch-up by inspecting windows, bumpers, moldings, wax, etc.
Reject vehicles not meeting standards and return to detail shop for redo. Generate appropriate reports and re-inspect problem vehicles to ensure quality standards are met.
Ensure employees have proper equipment and are properly trained in its use.
Ensure wash bays and other work areas are cleaned at the end of the workday and/or throughout if necessary.
Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor, including driving vehicle into building and to proper clean car staging area, occasional sale day driving.
May be required to work overtime (more than 40 hours per week) as business needs dictate
Qualifications:
Minimum-
Generally, less than 2 years' experience in a related field
Safe drivers needed; valid driver's license required
Preferred-
Basic knowledge of auto detailing, paint application processes, and associated repair procedures (preferred but not required).

Maintain and develop detail shop staff and their professional and technical knowledge by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees, and by providing educational opportunities.
Review Kronos for missing punches, proper posting of time off, department transfers. Submit any necessary paperwork to the ESC for timely processing.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Meet all completion times for vehicle cleaning and detailing as required to meet customer demand.
Maintain a clean work area which will meets applicable safety standards.
Follow up on the status of vehicles to insure promised times are met
Maintain a high level of knowledge regarding the specialized vehicle detailing (wet sanding, acid rain correction, removal of stripes and tints, etc.).
Position requires the use of certain tools normally used in the trade (buffers, pressure washers, extractors, etc.)

Job Description
Training: Training for this role will be held at the Manheim Omaha location.
Job Responsibilities:
* Supervise the activities of the detail shop team to ensure vehicles are detailed and all work is performed in a timely manner and according to established quality standards and customer or account requirements.
* Review monthly financial statement and provide recommendations to upper management on how to maximize profitability and efficiency.
* Supervise the proper staging, flow and inspection of vehicles processed through the detail shop operation to meet customer requirements and timely completion of available vehicles.
* Oversee daily operation and maintenance of detail shop equipment.
* Establish production goals for detail shop employees and determine manpower levels and scheduled based on anticipated business volume.
* Requisition equipment, materials and supplies for the shop and oversee maintenance and protection of shop equipment. Control the use of supplies, materials, and equipment.
* Provide and maintain a safe work environment by explaining, monitoring, and enforcing required Auction safety procedures and complying with the OSHA requirements.
* Communicate, discuss, and resolve reconditioning goals, results and problems with management and work with management in preparing the budget as it relates to the detail shop functions.
* Maintain and develop detail shop staff and their professional and technical knowledge by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees, and by providing educational opportunities.
* Review Kronos for missing punches, proper posting of time off, department transfers. Submit any necessary paperwork to the ESC for timely processing.
* Counsel and discipline employees as necessary. Plan, monitor, and evaluate job performance, and conduct performance appraisals.
* Inspect and verify the quality of detail/reconditioning work performed is in accordance with customer specifications and contract standards. Examine visually and by touch if necessary. Track all vehicles entering and exiting the lanes.
* Reject Vehicles not meeting standards and return to detail shop for redo. Generate appropriate reports and re-inspect problem vehicles to ensure quality standards are met.
* Ensure employees have proper equipment and are properly trained in its use.
* Ensure washing bays and other work areas are cleaned at the end of the workday and/or throughout if necessary.
* Perform other duties as assigned by manager. This is a working supervisory position and will include detailing of vehicles and driving.
* May be required to work overtime (more than 40 hours per week).
* Evaluates and pursues new initiatives and opportunities based on their fit with broader strategies.
* Utilizes industry, division, market, and other external business factors when making decisions.
* Generates and champions innovative ideas and opportunities to improve one's area.

Qualifications:
Minimum:
* High school diploma/GED and 7 years' experience.
* OR the right candidate could also have a different combination, such as any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline and 5 years' experience; OR 9 years' experience in a related field.
* Safe drivers needed; valid driver's license required.
* Competent supervisory and excellent organizational skills required.
* Good computer software knowledge, as well as experience with AS400 essential.
* Ability to work well with others and maintain focus and productivity under compressed deadlines.
* Commitment to providing excellent customer service is essential.
* Strong communication and interaction skills are required.
* Ability to lift 1-30 pounds (light hand tools, etc.) Manual dexterity, repetitive motion tasks.
* Vision abilities required include close, distance and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
* Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk, and hear.
* Required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat, and climb.
Work Environment:
