This role is responsible for set up and operation, changeover, adjusting and troubleshooting cold heading, cold forging, and bushing forming equipment used in the manufacture of bushing, rolls, pin cut-off for Automotive Timing Chain and Components, and following established work standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The essential duties and responsibilities of this job are included but not limited to this job description - other tasks may be assigned and expected to be performed.
Quality of all components is maintained by each machine operator using statistical quality control methods and defined in the work standard.
Changeovers and adjustments exacting, but not difficult.
Work to specifications, schedules, orders and general instructions of department group leader or supervisor.
Perform preventive maintenance inspection before the start of each shift as outlined on the Preventive Maintenance Check Sheet. Apply oil or grease to specified areas. Confirm the operability of all detectors.
The ability to perform a more comprehensive PM on the machines including but not limited to oil changes.
Basic troubleshooting of chain assembly equipment to understand the alarm messages, identify what this issue is and how to correct the issue.
Adhere to work standards and statistical quality control methods must be followed.
Must have complete knowledge of the cold header equipment, cold forging, bushing forming, and pin cut-off work standards and SQC methods.
Adhere to work standard. Responsible for maintaining production schedules, quality control records, and accurate reporting of production volumes. Refers any unusual problems to the departmental supervisor.
Prepare test samples for quality control per work standard.
Record production, traceability, and any other data required utilizing various forms as directed.
Utilize machine-monitoring system to record down time.
Use material handling devices such as hand truck, hydraulic lift truck.
Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow standard safety regulations.
Detect faulty operation or defective material and report these and other unusual conditions to group leader or supervisor.
Perform other similar and associated duties as required or directed.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered
2-5 Years of experience running multiple machines and performing preventative maintenance.

Maintain accurate relationships, fittings and interchangeability of parts requiring tolerances to within .001 inches to meet all specified drawing requirements consistently on all types of tools, dies, jigs or fixtures.
Recognize, and report for correction, blueprint errors such as improper radii, angles, dimensions, materials, and similar data which would prevent economical production.
Disassemble and repair or alter tooling to meet specific requirements.
Remove removable sections, fit, assemble, and adjust component parts and mechanisms to required accuracy to unsure satisfactory results.
Ability to properly use all tool room measuring tools and gages to ensure part accuracy of all work performed.
Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow standard safety regulations.

Job Summary
The CNC Programmer is a full-time position responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining CNC programs for a variety of equipment, including CNC plasma cutters, CNC lasers, and CNC brake presses. Programming & Technical Work
Develop CNC programs for laser, plasma, and other CNC equipment based on engineering drawings and specifications.
Prepare and modify flat patterns using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
Apply K-Factor and Bend Table configurations within Inventor to ensure accurate part development.
Use CAM software to nest parts and maximize material utilization.
Create flat layouts using in-house bend deductions when required.
Ensure the accuracy and completeness of CNC burn packages, nests, setup sheets, and routings.
Collaboration & Support
Work independently while receiving direction and oversight from the CNC Programming Manager.
Build strong working relationships across engineering, materials, operations, and quality teams.
Assist setup and production personnel with tooling, fixturing, and process-related issues.

Summary:
We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming and operating CNC machines to produce high-precision components. This role requires a strong understanding of CAD/CAM software, tooling, and machining processes. Qualifications:
Understands and can interpret customer drawings, including GD&T, parts lists, ECOs, WI, and Inspection Plans.
2-5 years experience operating, programming, setting up, and maintaining a multi-axis CNC lathes and mills with Fanuc controller.
Master Cam experience preferred.
Ability to use manual inspection devices such as bore gages, micrometers, dial indicators, height gages, thread and pin gages, microscopes for visual inspection, profilometers, optical comparators and Rockwell testers.
Ability to design, create, mount and load tooling, fixtures, vises, jaws and touch off all tooling.
Ability to produce a first piece inspection part.
Understand basic trouble shooting of speeds & feeds, work holding, tool selection and tool wear.
Ability to work with QC for publication of in-process inspection plans.
Ability to train operators to run and inspect parts approved for production.
Duties & Expectations:
Operate CNC machine in a manner that is safe, producing quality products and meeting production expectations set forth by management.
Program parts using existing CAD models if available. Save onto network following company procedure.
Design and create work holding fixtures, work order process and instructions.
Utilize programs, select tools, fixtures, work zeros and set-up part for first piece approval.
Work with QC to get first piece approved and in-process inspection plans in place and request all inspection gages required to check parts at machine.
Report any maintenance issues to Maintenance Manager or immediate supervisor.
Mentor operators to properly run production and document inspection, as required.
Document work in ProShop ERP system as applicable to maintain traceability and quality records.
Identify when applicable, continuous improvement of processes and understand the contribution to the effectiveness of the QMS.
Communicate any concerns or issues related to production of parts, safety and quality to immediate supervisor for machine or project.
Ensure the FOD program is being adhered to during all times.
Have basic measuring tools: Caliper, Micrometer, Test Indicator and assure they are in current calibration.
Only use calibrated measuring equipment whether personal or company supplied. If not in proper calibration notify quality department to have corrected immediately.
Handle inspection equipment, machines and parts in a manner that will not cause damage or compromise integrity.

Ability to run CNC machines required (lathes, mills, grinders); as well as ability to read G and M code.
Experience programming CNC code on software like Esprit or Mastercam required.
Experience with production processes like cutting, molding, forming or assembly.
Ability to read manufacturing prints (dimensioning and geometric constrains)
Experience with measuring tools (calibers, micrometers, indicators, gauge blocks, pins, pi tapes)
Basic understanding of cutting tool designs and styles used in turning and milling is required.
Understanding of robotic and automation principles
Ability to use CAD (2D and 3D) drawing programs to sketch designs for simple components, work holding and to adjust part models; ability to use 3D CAD models as input for CAM programs and create part programs.
