Job Summary
The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for overall supervision and coordination of maintenance department activities related to the setup, installation, maintenance and repair of equipment, tools and machinery to ensure non-stop operation of the plant/location assigned.
Job Location
This position is based out of our facility in Platteville, CO.
Job Responsibilities
Direct staff of mechanics/technicians in electrical, electronic, mechanical hydraulic and pneumatic maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment
Assist and direct workers in diagnosis of malfunctions in equipment and machinery
Observe mechanical devices and equipment to determine proper functioning and identify root causes of malfunctions. Provide and implement corrective actions to address
Work with operations to prioritize equipment/form repairs based on operational demand
Interprets company policies and safety regulations to ensure compliance and safe work environment
Recommends and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product
Plan and implement a schedule of routine and preventative maintenance procedures and assign and monitor personnel
Order parts needed for special projects, routine maintenance requirements, spare parts, tools and equipment as needed
Secure and manage outside contractor services as needs arise which are outside internal capabilities
Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed
Job Requirements
Associate's degree or equivalent in training, education or 5 + years of experience as maintenance manager, or equivalent combination of experience, training and education
Ability to maintain and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and electronic control equipment used in an industrial manufacturing environment
Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, process sheets, and assembly schematic drawings
Basic computer skills utilizing Excel, Word and Power Point applications
Previous experience maintaining industrial equipment including overhead cranes, forklifts, frontend loaders and batch mixers a plus
Job Salary
This role has a base salary range of $90,000 to $120,000/year + 10% annual bonus

Summary:
The MaintenanceSupervisor schedules, coordinates, and supervises the maintenance crew, preventive/predictive maintenance, and mechanical repair activities.
What you'll be contributing:
Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.
Provides technical assistance in the safe use of tools and equipment, training new and current employees on proper procedures, techniques, and safety precautions.
Schedules and coordinates daily preventive/predictive maintenance and mechanical repair activities and projects.
Inspects job sites before beginning maintenance projects to identify hazards and ensure a safe work environment.
Operates computerized preventive maintenance and repairs system to prepare work orders, document work activities, and maintain all records.
Assesses and gives performance feedback to the maintenance crew.
Maintains records of attendance and paid time off.
Analyzes and writes job procedures for new jobs and modifies procedures for existing jobs
Estimates time and parts required to complete projects and repairs.
Collaborates with Purchasing Agent to ensure adequate supplies are ordered or in stock for projects.
Assists in contacting vendors and obtaining contractors regarding maintenance needs
Attends and regularly conducts safety meetings and inspections to ensure compliance with safety requirements.
Coordinate and supervises the work of contractors for specified maintenance activities
Assists in preparing the budget for capital expenditures planned for maintenance projects and repairs
Participates in the monthly conference calls with Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP).
Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
To succeed in this position, you will need:
High School Diploma or GED is required
2 year/Associates Degree in a related area is preferred
Minimum 3 years of supervisory or maintenance experience in engineering, or facility management in a similar position in related field.
A combination of relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of a diploma/degree.
Ability to read, write, and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc.
Proficient in English written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of maintenance and repair required for plant equipment and structures
Demonstrates project management skills
Ability to uses independent judgment
Ability to make decisions, plan, organize, and problem solve
Ability to operate a personal computer
Ability to read and understand equipment manuals, mechanical drawings and blueprints

You Will

* Ensure each shift carries out planned maintenance, statutory compliance tasks and reactive works investigations/repairs on NCC complex infrastructure and fabric as assigned including reassignment to other shifts as required
* Co-ordinate and plan maintenance activities in support of Operations Manager HFM, Client, End Users and other technical departments (e.g. Skanska CIS Team, Maintenance/Engineering Team, Asset Management including lifecycle and project works
* Provide technical advice and support to shift teams and 3rd party contractors working in the NCC complex
* Effectively manage sub-contractors ensuring work is carried out in line with the company procedures and statutory legislation
* Ensure workmanship and productivity comply with contract Key Performance Indicators
* Ensure health, safety and other statutory compliance appropriate to the role
* Supervise, and where required formulate programmes of work for, maintenance, lifecycle and capital works projects
* Train and instruct shift teams as appropriate in the NCC complex shift routines and procedures
* Monitor staff attendance, annual leave requirements and sickness ensuring all instances are correctly logged.
* Actively manage poor performance, ensuring that effective performance development review meetings are carried out effectively with all direct reports as required including management of short- and long-term absence in line with Skanska's Absence Management Procedure
Skills /Experience required:
Mandatory
* Previous experience in a similar maintenance role
* Experience of both open and closed protocol BMS systems (Johnson, Honeywell, Satchwell etc.), network-based fire alarm, CCTV, access control systems, IDS, PA/VA and other electronic building services
* Excellent team working and problem-solving capabilities
* Proficient in Microsoft packages, including word, excel and outlook
* Ability to manage a number of services simultaneously in accordance with the Northwood SLA's and client expectations
* Must be capable of fully satisfying the Client security clearance minimum requirements
Desirable
* Knowledge of Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) Systems
* Work experience in a MOD environment and compliance with Safe Systems of Work (JSP 375, Vol 3)

What We Are Looking For
Minimum of 10 years of experience in maintenance management or plant engineering in a manufacturing environment, glass experience is a plus
Must be able to diagnose problems, identify needs for improvement, and implement and adapt to change
Must manage production equipment spare key parts inventory to optimum levels
Industrial experience in the repair and maintenance of production equipment. Electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills are a must.
Maintain, repair, test and install electrical motors, and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems.
Troubleshoot, maintain and repair industrial, electrical and electronic control systems and other related devices; Familiarity of continuous improvement methodologies (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma) is a plus, especially Total Preventative Maintenance
