Description of the Role:
We are currently seeking an experienced and skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to join our dynamic medical team. As an OR RN, you will play a critical role in assisting surgeons and other healthcare professionals during surgical procedures, ensuring a safe and sterile environment for patients.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the surgical team, including surgeons and anesthesiologists, to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Prepares surgical equipment, instruments, and supplies necessary for surgical procedures
Maintain a sterile operating room environment and adhere to strict infection control protocols
Assist in positioning and draping patients for surgery
Administer medications and monitor patients' vital signs before, during, and after surgical procedures
Assist with surgical site preparation and closing
Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families
Requirements:
Valid California Registered Nurse (RN) license
Minimum 2 years of experience as an Operating Room RN
BLS and ACLS certification
Excellent knowledge of surgical procedures and sterile techniques
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
